Child care director cusses & belittles/yells at the children. She tells the kids that they are "pissing her off", told another parent when I was not present that my child needed to be "tamed", told me that she was on her 3rd bottle of wine for the week because of the kids, said the word "BS" in front of them and was over heard talking about "kicking someone in the nuts." I've called multiple times and left msgs but still have yet to hear back or see anything done about it. My child's teacher doesn't even have a Colorado Teaching License. They serve toddler like portions. Animal crackers, yogurt and a cheese stick is NOT enough to fill up my almost middle school aged child. I asked a few kids about the food and they said they were ALWAYS still hungry. My child has NEVER received a failing grade until attending this school and when I emailed to schedule a time to meet with his her, I was told email works best. My child got a busted lip and had to go to the nurse twice and I didn't receive one phone call to notify me of what happened. A staff member told me that due to their lack of funding they were shorted on their checks and as a result some have already quit. They send out an email every month telling parents to apply for free/reduced lunch even if we know we won't qualify just so they receive additional funding. A staff member told me that no background checks were conducted prior to the start of the year and that degrees were never verified. Birth certificates and immunization records were never verified. The music teacher stepped on a child's hand on purpose and made him cry because he was touching something that didn't belong to him. Then when another child was going to touch it, he said, "you want me to step on your hand too." A staff member told me a teacher threw something at a child for not listening. They refused to return the rest of my child's school supplies stating that they are "community items". They denied my kid lunch when he was short on lunch money.
