I think the five-star reviews of this place must have been written by the employees to trick people into thinking this was a classy establishment. While its not terrible, it's certainly not what I look for in a nail salon and definitely not worth the price. I was looking for a place closer to home since I live in fountain, and found this one in YP with seemingly great reviews. When I walked in the door, my immediate thought was that the place was tiny, cramped, and dirty-looking. All the posters in the windows are years old and faded, the windows themselves are dirty, the floor was dirty, the techs' tables were cluttered with crap...to make it worse, even though I was the only one there, they employees were all just lounging around watching a movie (one was even sleeping, and remained asleep in a pedicure chair the whole time I was there!) and didn't bother to get up and greet me. They just asked what I wanted. I said gel polish, which was listed as $20 on the price sheet by the door. I thought ok, even if the service isn't great, that's ten bucks cheaper than what I usually pay for it. Still kind of grossed out by the look of the place, I go sit down with my tech. While my nails look fine, they certainly don't pamper you here or give you the quality of service that other salons do. He didn't soak my cuticles or even bother to trim them (and I have horrible cuticles), he just dove right in with the file and grinder. I should also mention, there is NO SINK in this place! So you can't wash your hands, they just blow the nail dust off with a can of air. I'm glad he didn't trim my cuticles because his tools were in a plastic pencil box and had been used on who knows how many people without being cleaned (the salon I normally go to, Skyline Nails, charges you $1 but they open a fresh, sanitary pack of tools for every person, which I love). He kept giving me crap about my color choice (if I want black, don't harass me or keep asking me why I want black). When he was done, he did massage my hands with lotion, and then charged me $30 ($10 more than the price listed on the sign). I didn't bother to ask about it because a) that's the same price I pay elsewhere, so no real loss I guess and b) I kind of just wanted to leave. I was wholly unimpressed with this place and will not be going back. The only nice thing they do is give you a punch card that entitles you to some money off after ten visits, but I have no desire to go back there one more time, let alone ten.
Love Veda. Wonderful haircuts. Just be aware the price of your haircut goes up depending on the level of the stylists. I have been going to one per…

High Maintenance was recommended by a friend after her mani/pedi. She is still my friend and now I'm recommending them, as well. The salon is bright and cheery and has the most beautiful kimonos on the wall for decoration. My High Maintenance Pedicure was scheduled with Myra. I am always a little nervous walking into a pedicure for the first time because you never know how the baths are cleaned and I was very pleased to see a plastic liner in the bath. The High Maintenance Pedi includes many choices: my choices included a leg mask; hot towels; massage and choice of color. Unexpectedly, you receive a free bottle of nail polish; perfect for touch ups! At the end of my pedi, the plastic liner was drained and thrown away. No need to worry about whether the bath was cleaned properly before I arrived. High Maintenance has a manscape room separate from the ladies area. The man room has a big screen tv and has a dedicated manicure/pedicure station. Whether he likes it or not, my man will get an appointment scheduled in the near future... Prices were extremely reasonable - under $30 for a basic pedi and $35.95 for the High Maintenance version. I made a follow up appointment for next month before I left.
After receiving a terrible haircut and color job for well over $200 at one of the most expensive, overly franchised salons in Colorado Springs, I was mortified and I was in desperate need of a color correction and fix for my cut. I frantically did an internet search for any other salon that seemed reputable, and I'm so relieved that I found Styles Salon. I saw Stephanie, and she got me in right away. She took her time to analyze what the previous stylist had screwed up, asked me plenty of questions about my hair and how I style it, and really took her time to come up with a plan to fix my hair. I was so happy with Stephanie's knowledge, patience, professionalism and attention to detail. I felt safe in her hands. She fixed the botched haircut- it's super cute! And the color is worlds better than it was when I walked in. I'm so glad I've found a stylist in the Springs that I can count on to do a great job. I highly recommend this salon. Everyone there seemed knowledgeable, patient, attentive, and professional, and their prices are reasonable for a job well done.
I went in twice, once for a nail fill and once for a polish change. The girls that helped me were very friendly and personable, however the job that was done each time was only passable. The fill started lifting along the edges only 2-3 days after I got it and the french tips were painted too thin and lopsided. You could see the lines of my natural nail underneath, which I told her specifically I didn't want. About a week later I went back for a polish change (I paid full price, even though it was their error, and didn't complain) and got a different girl. Again, she was very nice and helpful, but the french tip was painted on crooked, you could see the brush strokes where she tried to clean it up and she left bristles from the brush stuck in the polish and didn't clean it up. The polish started chipping the very next day and I have never had polish chip when it's been professionaly done. The customer service was great and the salon was very clean and nicely decorated, but I suggest they get some more experienced technicians.
Tuscany Day Spa is located in a charming historic home just west of downtown Colorado Springs. The owner and staff are a completely customer service oriented group. They always go the extra mile and pampering their guests! The hairstylist Dave is creative and amazing, giving me a cut I can work with and showing me how do several different styles myself. Pedicures and manicures are in comfortable clean environment where I don't feel overcome by fumes and chemicals like some discount places. Also the nail tech keeps the nail tools super clean and that is important to me. Always friendly, they will order lunch for you if you are there over your lunch hour and let them know you would like that extra service. The extra little touches mean a lot and the staff there always makes you feel special. I have been a customer for 3 years and will continue going to Tuscany Day Spa.
When I think of "Day Spa," I picture facials, massages and pedicures. It never occured to me when I just needed my nails and eyebrows done to go that direction. However, through a strange quirk of fate, I ended up with a gift certificate to the Tuscany Day Spa that I used for just that. Even though I was just there for a few smaller services, instead of the works, it was still a very relaxing treat. The personal attention I received was so much better than you get at those "Mall Salons" where you are rushed in and out. The staff is friendly and professional. The environment is calm and relaxing. It may take you a minute to find the off-street parking, but it will be well worth the search.
They are great! They have great customer service and their work is top notch. I use the Gel for my nails and they last for at least 3+ weeks. It is a down to earth place where you feel welcome to come. The service is fast, they are even entertaining with music and comedy. I have been to the stuck up joint Amy's and will never go back. I also used to go to Nail's First and had Jenny but I always had to make an appointment with her. There are times when I just want to walk in, get my nails done and be out. I recommend Trendzy Nails and I will remain a loyal customer. Speaking of Loyal, they have a punch card called the Loyal Card so after 10 punches you get 10 bucks off. Awesome. Genise
This family oriented hair salon is the best I've ever experienced. Cindy is absoulutely delightful. Her personality is refreshing and wonderful. She can do magic with your hair. Her salon offers complimentary gormet coffee, tea, and even Wine on Friday. The atmosphere is warm and they really do go out of their ways to make your visit incredible. Cindy fixed my hair color that more fancy and expensive salon messed up. She is absolutely wonderful. I absolutely recommend anyone who ever wanted to experience something special/life long stylist, go see Cindy.
I LOVE this place!!! It's is te perfect salon. Everyone is so sweet and fun! I'm so glad I found Maria. Coming from California and having really dark roots but being blonde, it was so difficult to find the right perfectionist. And then I found her!! It is hard to get my hair to come out blonde and Maria uses the best products (Wella) and really cares about your hair. I was amazed at how blonde I am. It looks so natural and only takes her about 2 hrs from start to finish! I'm telling you, you won't be disappointed :) Thanks Miss Maria!!
I think Joy is an excellent hair cutter person. Once upon a time, I asked her to cut my hair.... and she ended up cutting ALL OF THEM, without charging me any extra cash. Not only that, but she cut them all the same length! I was very pleased with how my new dew turned out. When I'm in town, I will visit Joy for all my haircutting needs in the future. (P.S. Other dudes beware: the place is a little girly, but if you can get past the spa-like atmosphere, you'll be on your way to getting a top-notch haircut.)
