Placed order over the phone. Went to pick up the order and they claimed they could not find the order.Ok things happen no big deal. While reordering I saw some cinnamon rolls ordered 3 of those, my son wanted a smoothie. We got our order and left. When we got home the cinnamon rolls were hard, like 3 days sitting out hard. And the smoothie well, what smoothie we never even got it. Also never got the bread to go with the cream of broccoli soup my wife wanted. Then to top it all of this app (YP) showed that kneaders was open until 10:00 pm so I drove back at 9:15 pm to find out they actually close at 9:00 pm. That is why this place gets one star for service.
They sold moldy pies that were on sale they should of been in the trash I called and told them and all they said was that the pies are not there anymore . I will not shop there anymore
This place is the greatest!!! I'm getting Oroweat bread for $1.75! The dates are good! Then I turn the corner and they have Oroweat on Manager special for $1.25!! I got Sara Lee for $1.00 and the Sara Lee cupcakes were on Manager special for $1.25!!!I'm coming back!
Do NOT recommend. I'm sad to say that Amanda at Sugarplum Cake Shoppe did our cakes for our wedding on 5/30/15. I had the greatest first impression of Amanda when we booked with her, however it was a different story on the wedding day. First, we paid to rent a cake stand, and it NEVER made it to the reception. I can't even look at the wedding photos of the cake sitting on cardboard on a tablecloth. Secondly, for the groom's cake, we decided on a piano shaped cake- what we got was a plain white sheet cake with a piano in icing- not what we discussed at all. Following these mistakes, I contacted the shop. It took 3 separate phone calls to even get in touch with Amanda (I left messages, she never called back) and that was almost TWO weeks after the wedding. She was then very apologetic, and told me she would call me back in an hour to get the address to which she could send a refund for the cake stand. She never called back. It took TWO more calls from my husband for us to give her our address, and she told us the check would be in the mail that same day. This all took place late June. We have yet to receive a check, or a call back. We placed yet another call this past saturday, and were told Amanda would give us a call back as soon as she finished making a cake. We were told this was a delicate process that could not be interrupted- we left our phone number and asked for a call back. It is now thursday, FIVE days later and we have yet to receive a call back, or a refund check. It's beyond just wanting a refund for items we did not receive- it's about how this woman is blatantly avoiding our calls after she made a mistake. We held up our end of the deal by paying her, the exact day we booked, in full. We will not be recommending her, in hopes no one has the same experience we have.
Terrible service. Cake was tasty but too much butter cream and the "special order" filling was sparse at best. Not worth the price nor the bad attitude you have to endure. Owner acts like she is doing you a favor by agreeing to sell you a cake. Oh, and be careful that you give her a weeks notice for a order or you will be charged a "short notice" order fee. Sheesh! Seriously? Very restrictive stipulations for anything you try to purchase that isn't off the shelf. Plenty of good bakeries in town. Give your business to someone else who appreciates your custom and deserves your money.
Don't bother. They may have been on Cupcake Wars but they don't sell cupcakes. Also, they don't have anything in the store to buy for immediate consumption. It's all preorder cakes for events.
