I love Runner's Roost. I don't know what this poster here is talking about. I Feel as though many people these days expect to be treated like royalty when they go to a store. I have always had great service from RR, and they are always very helpful when trying out new shoes. Every time I go in I spend 30-45 minutes trying on new shoes and having the owner watch me run up and down the sidewalk to watch my gait. I have an ankle injury, and they always make sure the shoes I get don't aggravate my injury. They've always been very helpful and genuine people, but I'm not the kind of person who needs to have their hand held and thanked repeatedly for patronizing their store. They provide good service, I give them business, and I recommend them to everyone I know. Great store.
Dreadful Service with an upsell sales staff mentality. I will not patron All American Sports again. I called to see if they had a specific bat I wanted for my son. They said they had one left and told me the price. I was asked if I wanted them to hold it for me. The price quoted was in line with other stores so I said yes, I'll be down in a few hours. I arrived a few hours later. I told them my name, they went into the back and returned with a bat double the price quoted. When I said, "That's $149.99 right?" They laughed and said "no $299.99". "Where's last year's model for $149 the guy on the phone said you had one left of?" "We don't have any left but you can take this year's model for $299." "I took off early from work and drove all the way down here on the word of your sales guy. Is there anything you can do for me?" "Sorry, nothing we can do". I'm a pretty easy going guy but their smugness, lack of understanding and content was upsetting. All American Sports should know that customer service is all they have. Anyone can get a bat on the Internet or from a box store for less. Internet... here I come.
