Great happy hour in the bar, Daneille is so nice, she recognizes us everytime we visit. The quest is good and the guacamole is too, cold beer to go with it.

It was all around good experience. It's not much to look at but the food is fresh and homemade everyday. The service is friendly and food was so good.
Hello,I would like to say this place was non the less disappointing. I placed a order that took 40 minutes to receive, but wait.....I asked the guy if it was cheaper to get a combination meal. He started saying he could charge me for this and that, not making any sense. I was taking a lunch break and didn't have time to be wasted trying to figure out what this guy is saying so I just said keep my order 3 tacos and a tostada. Keep it simple....the guy repeats the order to me and hands it to me. As I got back home to eat real quick the order was completely wrong. I called to ask to speak to the manager, a lady picked up and did not give me a name who said she was the manager and then the manager is gone? well ....which one is it.....obviously lies are being told like what a little kid does when they know they messed up. I asked let me speak to you manager and her final answer was hes gone....well do you have a number? No I don't...so let me get the straight it took for ever to make my order which was simple, being followed by threatening attitude to get charged even more if I wanted a combination plate, to just messing up my order to just lying to me. But wait.....I asked if the woman if the manager will be there tomorrow? she said yes. Day two........ I come back to the place hoping for some type apology and a refund, but once again same old thing. The gentle behind the counter was Paul Rodrigez...stating he was the manager after a couple seconds of looking around for who would play manager. I told him my situation and he walks away without a care in the world. I am taking it further because that is simply not how to treat customers, and it seems like they (the crew) are used to this behavior. That is unacceptable and please see me on other review sites where I post more reviews of Monicas Taco Shop located in colorado springs on Fillmore. God bless you all at Monicas Taco Shop and thank you for letting me see you for who you really are. Hope this helps. :) Thank you all.
First off, Pueblo Viejo's staff is extremely professional and friendly. We didn't have to wait in getting a table. We were greeted with smiles and given an option were to sit. The restaurant was clean and colorful. The menu had many different choices to choose from (maybe too many to excel at them all) at reasonable prices. We were given fresh chips and salsa, and again, the employees are very attentive! If we need more chips and salsa or drink refills they were on it without us having to ask. So, why only 3 stars for this Mexican restaurant? The food, don't get me wrong, the food isn't bad it's just nothing special. Pueblo Viejo's dining experience is memorable, but their food is not; it gets lost in the sea of all the other bland Mexican restaurants. Pueblo Viejo's didn't excel in flavors or taste to separate themselves from the rest of the typical chain restaurants.
I haven't been to OTB in a while, so decided to order delivery. I ordered one 3 item combo and 1 fajitas meal. The food I got was horrible. There was a quarter cup of beans and rice for each meal. The rice tasted like it was from a package. The tamale tasted worse than anything I've bought from the freezer section grocery store. The 'stuff' inside was horrible, hard and very dry! What was it? .. menu said pork. The chicken tinga enchilada was disgusting! The chicken tasted old, sauce was ok. The empanadas hit the trash. Steak and chicken fajitas tasted like the meat was old. The sides (sour cream, guac, cheese, pico) were barely enough for one small fajita. The tortillas were hard. The queso/guacamole appetizer was brown and tasted like it was leftover. I am not pleased with this considering how much I paid. I picked at it and most went in the trash. I thought I would have enough for 2 meals. I won't be going to or ordering from this place again.
OPEN at 1821 S Academy BlvdHad the Cuban Sandwich for lunch - it was very flavorful and big - definitely a full meal. The woman who runs the place is really friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was nice. I'll be going back to try the entrees!
Best authentic Mexican food I have ever tried. I was stationed at Fort Carson when a friend of mine took me here. After that i was hooked.
My husband and I will not be coming back to this restaurant after two very unpleasant experiences. The first one was a few weeks ago when we came in to eat around 3 pm. There was not a single server or bartender working, only one manager. He was very slow and became quickly overwhelmed when several other customers arrived. Our service was terrible and our food took at least 30 minutes to arrive. It had obviously been sitting under the heating lamp for a long time because the sour cream was melted and our guacamole was warm and starting to turn brown. We were pretty disappointed, but decided to give it another chance. The worst experience happened this Tuesday evening around 4:45 pm. We went in, hoping to have a nice dinner together. It was definitely not a busy night, yet it took over 5 minutes before we were greeted. Our server was EXTREMELY rude! He didn't even introduce himself or write down our order and then that jerk had the nerve to roll his eyes at us! We were shocked. He didn't bring us our drinks or even come back over to the table. There were other customers who arrived after us who received their food before we even got our appetizer. We had to leave. We just couldn't justify spending our money at that establishment. It is obviously poorly managed, and is in serious need of improvement before it goes under.
This place has some gall! We waited a half hour for our food to come out, service was AWFUL, and even BOUGHT a Kids meal for our son (a baby-not yet 2 yrs). But he wouldn't eat any of it and started to scream so to quiet him I gave him some crackers- not even an actual meal- and they had the gall to charge a fee for outside food. After they took forever, then tried to short us on parts of the meal- they ran out of rice?!?! They never brought the cocktail we did order.... No one speaks English here. Its awful. But the extra fee was the kicker- I will never eat here again.
great atmosphere, wonderful service and the most delicious food.I will definitely be coming back
