Talk about MIND BLOWING! From the very first second I called in to get a quote, there was an absolute feeling of calm and peace...not to mention a little disbelief. Here's the story.... I'd been in Orlando and had to ruch back to Miami for the birth of my first son. To be honest, I was supposed to leave out teh night prior - but due to a collision that happened Friday night, a part connecting the power steering hose to the actual pump was contacing the belt for the ending in my new 2006 Chrysler 300. I called several places that I looked up on Google. There prices - Extremely uncomfortable, Totally irrational, and beyond my logic. 500 to 600 bucks to change out an alternator??? (If I had the tools, I'd do it my darn self) Anyhow, after a long night of "what am I gonna do, and how am I gonna work this situation out", I thought outside of the box. I thought of some local AAA approved facilities, and a few ASA facilities. This nice little shop on 3155 Clemson Road - just off John Young Pkwy - comes up. It was called, "The Car Spa". I thought to myself, 'nice name'. But all I really wanna know is, 1. How much and 2. How soon? Long story short, what I thought was an alternator was more of a byproduct of the collision. Mike Hoffman - a smoot cool dude that actually has manuals of how to repair vehicles dating back to the 1960's came up to speak with me. I explained my woes, and he gave me the green light to leave, while he went to work replacning the alternator that costed under 150.00 from Advanced Auto Parts, and the caost of Labor - measely $80 bones!!! (Did I mention I love mike and hellen hoffman now???? ) So, not even 5 minutes after I've driven off, Mikey calls me back letting me know my alternator was in peak condition, but becuase the of the collision, there was some slippage on the belt - which came form the power steering fluid leak. This made the battery light come on...(I thought it was due to my mean sound system draining the alternator even though I added a capicitor). Mike said he'd get the work done, and he did just that. See, the power steering had gone out, so driving that big silver bullet was like going on a ruck march with a 100lb ruck sack on your back. When I got back to the shop, not only was my vehicle driving like new, Heck, they even gave me a few gifts for me and my soon to be born son - who will be a Junior. Hellen handles the business administration while Mike and the crew take care of turning wrenches and diagnostics. To sum things up: What I received from The Car Spa was Rolls Royce caliber service at Thrift Shop prices. You're gonna love these people. The next time I come up, God willing, I'm gonna stop by to say whats up to Mike, Hellen and the gentelman that answered the phone. I've never taken the time to write a review, and honestly, I'm leaving out a ton of good stuff from this - already too lond as it is - review. Never the less, when someone cant breathe, and in comes a fresh new pair of lungs at no real sacrifice, not only are they happy they can breathe again, but every breath they take is in memory of the person that provided that source of air. These guys are awesome. Thanking God for great people and good business. Did I mention, respectable prices???
Our car, too, broke down the night of our last day at Disney, Saturday, the day after Christmas! We were supposed to check out the next morning by 10AM and two of us had to be at the airport by noon. It was already after 6PM, Saturday, of a holiday weekend. Luckily, the car was in it's parking spot at the resort, but was stuck in reverse, and when we shut it off, it would not start. We called the front desk at the resort- absolutely NO HELP. We called AAA, they set up a tow to a 24 hour repair shop, which we quickly found out was a lie, no 24 hour repair shop exists (at least not on Christmas weekend). So, next, we were faced with the possibility of towing the car 150 miles to my parents home town, and renting a car to get to the airport and for the rest of us to ultimately get home- lots of money, but necessary. I was SO GLAD to find "Frank's Mobile Auto Mechanic" website on my cell phone, while my parents were trying to decide what to do next. We had another option!! We called Frank and left a message, he returned the call within the next hour. My Dad had trouble understanding Frank, so I did the talking. After I explained what happened to the car over the phone, he assured me he could fix it and he could come early the next morning. He knew exactly where we were, he had been to our resort before. He impressed me from the start, he has a great personality, a list of work experiences at several dealer auto repair shops, and he genuinely wanted to help us get our car fixed so we could be on our way. Like the other reviewer that described his van, he has everything he needed, and he had the part with him to fix our car. He permanently patched the gear shift cable as good as new, better than the dealer, and only charged us a little over $100 (85 to come out & 20 for the part). The car started up and the gear shifter works as good as new. We, also, were glad to tip him, he saved us so much time, stress and worry. And, we didn't even have to leave the comfort of our resort room. We continued to pack up the car while he worked on it in the parking lot that morning. This could have been a terrible ending to our wonderful Christmas vacation. His service is invaluable and I can't imagine what we would have had to endure if we hadn't called him. THANKS FRANK!!
I have to admit that I am a little skeptic when it comes to someone working on my vehicle, but Ian, the service rep, put me immediatle at ease with his caring personality. Escpecially on the delivery of my truck the first time they performed engine work. He and I found that the detail shop that had washed it had rubbed something on the back fender when they were moving it. He immediatley acknowledged the issue and was quite apologetic and needless to say somewhat embarrassed. Again, I was a bit upset, because he we go, another issue with a service department. But he assured me that he would take care of it. He had me in a rental car, courtesy of his shop, and I was set. On my return, he once again greeted me like a true friend, welcoming me back to the service department. The delivery of my truck took all of 5 minutes once I stepped foot on the premises. He dropped everything to give me service. On another visit, because again the truck was experiencing troubles with the engine, I was greeted by Ian. He took the truck, and I informed him that I was planning on taking a long road trip out of state, and this was going to put a dampener on my plans. He immediatly called corporate and put me in a rental for as long as I needed it, paying for everything, including insurance. I have been going to this service department since. I would highly recommend anyone who owns a chevy vehicle to call this service department, because they know the true meaning of "TAKING CARE OF THE CUSTOMER".
WOW is how I describe the treatment I received at All Transmission World where Tanner is the Manager. Tanner is PHENOMENAL. I brought my 1997 Toyota truck there for 2 separate issues. On both occasions, Tanner and his team found and resolved the problems quickly and correctly. I was on a very tight budget but needed the truck fixed, and Tanner helped me find the most economical solution for the problems I had with my clutch and master and slave cylinders. He thoroughly explained the problem after the diagnostic they perform and how to fix it correctly. I had brought the truck previously to 2 other mechanics where I did not get an explanation of the problem and spent over $800 to fix it, the others were unable to correctly diagnose the issue and hence did not correctly repair the vehicle and soon after the truck broke down again. This is when I found Tanner and All Transmission World. Dealing with Tanner and his extensive knowledge of auto repair and his honest business dealings was and is a breath of fresh air. As a woman, it is especially nice to have found someone who treats you fairly and not try to take advantage but to go above and beyond to help. I will continue to take my vehicle to him for any auto repair they can do and I refer him to my family and colleagues as well. I trust him, his judgment and to really take care of me, his customer. Tanner is a rare person in this day and age. He is a great asset to All Transmission World.
My Car is a Suturn Vue 2005, My Transmission stopped working at 122.00 Miles, I was looking everywhere where to fix my Transmission but i couldn't fine any one in Orlando and Kissimmee area to fix because my car has a CVT Transmission, not a conventional Transmission. Continuously variable transmission (CVT) is a transmission that can change sleeplessly through an infinite number of effective gear ratios between maximum and minimum values. This contrasts with other mechanical transmissions that offer a fixed number of gear ratios. This kind of transmission is use in Toyota Prius, Highlander, Camry, the Nissan Altima, Ford Escape Hybrid SUVs, Mitsubishi Lancer, Proton Inspira, Honda Insight, Honda Fit, and Honda CR-Z hybrids, the Nissan Tiida/Versa (only the SL model), Nissan Cube, Juke, Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Rogue, X-Trail, Murano, Micra, Honda Capa, Honda Civic HX, Jeep Patriot, Subaru Impreza, Legacy and Outback. Advance Transmision was the only one who took it apart and fixed....My Car now has 152.000 miles and it runs fine even thought a lot of dealers and auto shops suggested me to sell my car in steady of fix it.....and I got warranty on my repaired transmission....Good company that you can trust just imaging what they can do in Advance Transmission with regular or standard transmission if they could fix a complicated transmission like the CVT's...............
First, let me start off that my car broke down on the side of the road (luckily not a busy one) and from my knowledge all I knew was my serpentine belt came out. So I knew my car was stuck. It was this past Halloween night so it was on a Saturday and I was a little concerned because I don't know much Mechanics open on Sundays. Anyway I looked up mobile mechanic because I didn't want to have to pay $75-120 for someone to just tow my car to a shop and that's when I saw Dan. Of course I read his reviews and saw nothing but good things about him so I called him the following morning. The only negative thing I can say about him was that he came an hr earlier which made me feel bad for having him wait an extra 20mins. He's fast and efficient. He looks at my car and told me exactly what was need and what mostly like cased the mishap. I'm not too sure if he provides parts because I went right ahead and said I'll get the parts needed. Once I got the parts it took him less than 40 mins to replace the pulleys and belt. The most importantly. His pricing is very reasonable. i was definitely expecting it to be a little on the high end with him coming to where you're car is. He saved at least $100 with his service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you ever have car troubles.
I was highly recomended to this shop about 8 months ago by another body shop of all people to get my car custom sprayed. I have a special edition chrysler 300 and converted my 300 to a rolls royce phantom fully funtional custom whip. I'm not gona lye thesse people took about 3 months to do the car but the result thesse guys did was by far beyond what i was expecting. the car was candy painted using the highest quality materials around and they were very detailed at taking pictures of the entire process and from many show cars i seen there was not a single flaw or wave in the body work or even on the paint. again i'm not gona lye they charged me a very good price for the job which is obvisouly a lot larger than a regular paint jobbut they did a killer paintjob on my whip. i don't care what anyone says about them people they got my business and my peoples business for ever. my whip even won best in show, wildest custom and best paint at the dub show in miami which if you know bout car shows that is a pretty big show and pretty big categories to win! if i could post pics here i would cus them boys got skillz! if you people want the best quality work in o town then these are the people to go to & 4get bout them haterz. ya heard.
Fred replaced my timing belt, shocks, strutts and completed a full tune-up on my Hundya Sana Fe for 1/3 of the total cost that was quoted to me for the same work on my car from Tire Kingdom and other known auto repair shops. Fred allowed me to purchase the parts that I needed for car on his account with a local store where he trades (that gave me the benefit of purchasing the needed parts at his cost) so I paid Fred for labor only. Fred also called me when he finished the repairs on my car and had his son take the time to drive my car from his shop in Orlando to pick me up at my home in Lake County (40 minutes away). I also need to mention that although I purchased a new water pump for my car. Fred told me that I did not need to replace the water pump thereby saving me $89.00. I found Fred to be honest, professional and easy to work with. I do admitt that I was not alway able contact him by phone. Sometimes it took several attempts and he did take a day later to complete the repairs then what was promised (he did say that he got busy and was short handed). I will continue to use Fred to work on my car as needed and would recommed Fred to my family and freinds. Overall I was well please with Fred at Cool Shift.
I have been dealing with Muffler Man for 10 years and have NEVER had a bad experience there. They are an extremely hard-working group of guys who will practically bend over backwards to help you any way they can. They have the best Custom Exhaust Tech around; there is nothing that he cannot fix and he does fantastic custom exhaust jobs. Just ask to see some pictures of the work he has done. Now I personally think that they all have a wonderful sense of humor, which, evidently, the last person who wrote a review, lacked. I would never think of taking my vehicle anywhere else but to this MUFFLER MAN. They most certainly are up front and very honest people and and FYI...there is a core charge for a lot of parts that are replaced & they tell you that before they work on or replace anything on your vehicle. It has nothing to do with being a male or a female ~ everyone is treated equally and fair! They always tell you BEFORE they do any work what you need done, what your options are and how much it is going to cost, as well as how long it will take. They also will give you a written estimate. They haven't been in business for well over 20 years for no reason. Check them out ~ you will NOT regret it!
Some friends and I were in the Orlando area recently visiting family when we had problems with our car and had no idea where to take it or who we could trust. A lady that I used to work with highly recommended Muffler Man on Orange Blossom Trail so we took our car to them and told them that we needed to fix it so we could get back home. They Immediately took our car in, looked it over, told us what we needed and provided us with a written estimate. It took them less than 2 hours to fix it and we found them to be very honest, very nice folks to talk to. I can't imagine that anyone has had a bad experience at this shop. If and when we are ever back in the Orlando area, I can tell you that Muffler Man is the place we'll go to if we have any problems with our vehicle and we have already recommended them to our family that lives in the area. THANK YOU MUFFLER MAN! Thanks to those gentlemen, we made it home just fine and our car is still running great ~ have had no further problems with it at all. It was worth every penny that we paid to have the work done (and from the businesses we looked at while in Orlando, they have the best prices of anywhere else.) Thanks again!
