Very bad departments and will cut your car off while you are driving down the road. They also will change your payment date that you agree apon but then shut down the car or truck because they didn't change it in there system. A crock.
PLEASE do not rent a car here the customer service is HORRIBLE!!! They have a take it or go somewhere else attitude.
My boyfriend bought a vehicle from here. I called to try and get the car enabled for a few hours as he had a cardiac arrest while driving and the car is parked on a street. He is now on life support and may not wake up. They told me that they would not help me, hung up on me, and told multiple different versions of what they could and couldn't do depending on the person I spoke with. They even tried to get me to agree to a repo. I asked them if he had a disability clause in the contract and they said they weren't sure. Hus mother asked for a copy of the contract so we could look at it, and they said they had to speak to him. They are playing games to try and get money and refusing to help a customer is critical condition. I could give permission to repo or I could give you money....but we not authorized, to look at a contract? This place does not care about customers and are rude when faced with helping you with anything other than taking your money. GO TO A REPUTABLE DEALER.
DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE...FINANCE CHARGES ARE EXTREMELY HIGH.THE QUALITY OF CARS ARE HORRIBLE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE.YOU WILL REGRET THE PURCHASE.
I have used Avis for many years at various locations throughout the country, but have never had an occasion to rent a vehicle close to home. I recently reserved a specialty vehicle online for pick up the following morning at the Collinsville location. The location Agency Operator, Dallas Ligon, contacted me early on the morning of the proposed pick-up date to explain that they did not have that particular vehicle on the lot and that a two-day window is typically required. This was certainly not his fault, as I made the reservation online. I surmise that this communication glitch was most certainly a failure within the Avis online reservation system. Dallas made many phone calls on my behalf and called me back; informing me that he could have the vehicle there in several hours. Because the vehicle was not available in the morning as anticipated, I would not have a ride to the Collinsville location until the evening. Dallas offered to pick me up so that I may have the vehicle sooner. Because I had a very small window of opportunity to complete my objective with the rental vehicle, I am grateful for the exemplary service and the fact that Dallas went above and beyond to assist. My experience with the Collinsville, Illinois Avis location not only met my expectations, but also greatly exceeded them. Thank you.
I needed my account number please.
The experience was horrible! The owner Dallas tries to give you the highest priced rate that he can. He rented me a vehicle that needed an oil change knowing very well that I was taking a 14hr trip. I had to exchange the vehicle out once I arrived to my destination. Prior to returning the vehicle I called the office many times and never got an answer. I returned the vehicle 45 minutes late and Dallas the owner charged me an additional 50.00. I will never do business at that location again. This business does not deserve any stars at all.
I rented a cargo van from here and dropped it off after hours. From their U-haul office/shop in Collinsville, I went to Edwardsville, to downtown St. Louis then back to Collinsville to drop it off; a 48 mile trip. When paying for the van upfront, I pre-calculated a 50 mile round trip. I received a second charge on my card for just under $20 so I gave them a call; they said I drove a total of 75 miles. Needless to say I crunched some numbers. I topped it off with $10.71 of fuel at $3.59/gal which is three gallons. Forty-eight miles driven divided by three gallons is 16 mpg which is what that make/model van gets according to their corporate office (yes I called them too). According to cooperate, there is no way to dispute mileage. This tells me that there are some dishonest people working at this location. They charged me "mileage" and put $20 of fuel in their car on my dime. I understand it's only $20 but it's unethical. RENT ELSEWHERE.
