Normally this is not a bad Target, and the employees are usually polite and efficient. But yesterday morning I had an incredibly bad experience with a very coarse, ill-mannered, hostile, rude "customer service" "person" named Natasha. She had a very hard time handling what I think is the most basic of customer service transactions - a straight exchange. Even though I clearly stated it was a straight exchange, and even placed the items which I wanted in place of the items I was exchanging on the counter, she still treated it as a cash refund (although I had purchased the items with a debit card). And then she realized she had done the refund incorrectly....but still packaged up the items for me, so I asked her if I could go and she snapped, "no, I'm not finished!". Then she started going through the refund process all over again. I picked up my bag and stated I would just leave (and there was a big line growing behind me....and the customer service person next to her was also being incredibly rude, argumentative and sarcastic to HER customer, and also taking an incredibly long time to do a simple transaction, and was also obviously confused and not very knowledgeable). So Natasha replied, "if you do, then I will call the guard and tell him you are STEALING!" The customer next to me was in the process of demanding to see a manager, so I stated that I too would speak to her when he was done. Natasha spat at me "I don't tell you how to do your job, don't tell me how to do mine!" WOW...whether she was PMSing, having a bad day, or just angry at the world, I really have to wonder at the wisdom of having someone like this in customer service, indeed, in any position, in any store, anywhere. Oh, and then Natasha and her equally undertrained co-worker began commenting among themselves that they "did not need this so early in the morning"....really? And I guess customers DO need nasty, incompetent, threatening behavior from store employees on a Saturday morning? The manager was very nice and polite and apologized several times on Natasha's behalf but seemed somehow a little intimidated by her. If you do ever go to this Target on a Saturday morning and have to go to Customer Service....well, don't say you weren't warned.
