Bill: "Giuliana was born in Italy, and her family has all these amazing recipes that were passed on from generation to generation... and we had the idea of opening up an Italian restaurant... The minute we opened the doors people fell in love with it, because it was an authentic Italian restaurant. Our priority one was the food, because if the food wasn't the best, people would only come in once. So we said, 'We're going to make this very authentic like when we're in Naples.'"
"Every morning at six o'clock we have a team come in in the morning and they roll out the dough. And we make all the pasta from scratch. It's all done in house, and we've kept true to a lot of the old-school, old-world recipes from Naples, Italy. After about a year, people kept coming in and coming in. We'd see the fifth visit, tenth visit, fourteenth visit, and we knew that we were onto something."
Giuliana: "Michelle Obama had her girls' night out here at RPM Italian!"
Bill: "These restaurants are really the go-to spot when celebrities come into town. You know, every night of the week there's someone in here, whether it's an athlete, a musician... I've had dinner with Lady Gaga here!"
Giulana: "She's my homegirl."
Bill: "I wish we could take all the credit, but we have great partners. Our chef is the real deal... He trained with Alain Ducasse, and he was the executive chef of The French Laundry... And RJ and Jerrod and Molly really know how to run a restaurant. You know, it's in their DNA. Their father has been in restaurants for 41 years."
