Went tonight about 8:00 and in the 30 minutes there the manager went on about 3 cigarette breaks and was extremely rude when he entered to the staff. Cutting them off while making mcflurries and just being flat out rude. Colchester McDonald's needs to hire new management asap or they'll lose loyal customers because it was very unprofessional
I have complained multiple times to management concerning the customer service/attitude of employees. Several times, I have received the wrong order, I order the same thing for breakfast and receive 4 different prices. Show staff the receipt, they say the price was an error, that this is the correct price - however, the price on the menu doesn't add up to what the 'new price' is. Ask for a medium caramel mocha iced coffee, staff states they don't have 'mocha', or give me a frappe sized iced coffee, but charge $2.49. Been asked to pull ahead to wait for order, at 9am. Waited15 mins, went inside, staff insisted I had received my order - it's another 20 min wait time because they didn't have eggs. Not once did they apologize, try to offer me something//refund. Just attitude. I complained, someone at the grill told me to 'F-off and don't be given us no attitude'. Seriously folks, don't go here - they are your worst nightmare come true. They aren't worth the time/ aggravation.
VERY poor service AND attitude by staff. This McD is the worst one in over 30+ years of visiting McD across the country. Notorious for being understaffed. On one occasion we had to wait in line 30 minutes for a Happy Meal, there was a total of 2 customersahead of me, BUT interestingly the Drive Thru was doing a booming business and they were flying by; lack of service for indoor customers. On another occasion the toilet in the Indoor Playscape area was OVERFLOWED with fecal matter on floor and swimming to top of toilet rim, upon discreetly bringing this to the attention of the manager on duty. Ten minutes passed and no one was addressing the issue so I again approached the manager and explained the acuity of t g e situation and that the area should be locked and off limits. This did not hog over well,as she became irritated and disrespectfully yelled at a young male employee to get the mop and bucket to clean the toilet area. Obviously this was not going to correct the problem; and eventually a sign went up as 'Out of Order'. During the hottest days of this summer I took some children for Happy Meals and Ice Cream thinking they could play indoors...NOT! The Playscape Area was like a Sauna, no AC and when I inquired if they could put on the AC, the staff claimed not to know HOW to turn it on. Under those circumstances perhaps they should've put the area off limits. It was hotter inside than the 93+ degrees outside. I don't know how long this was allowed to continue but it's a wonder no one got ill. The last straw was our visit going through the Drive Thru. Initially I was just going to order a couple of Happy Meals but upon seeing Chicken Salads at a very good price I attempted to order two salads but was told the advertised price was wrong. I brought it to their attention of what the outdoor sign $ amount said. This resulted in too much back and forth conversation until the drivers behind me got increasingly impatient beeping their horns and telling. I was told to drive up without the matter being resolved. When I did a manager told me the price was being changed and if I drove around again . I'd see that they'd changed the sign. (A male employee, in a black shirt, had come out when I was at the Drive Up speaker and was able to verify the advertised price.) Sure enough, as I looked back towards the sign the male employee was removing the sign. The manager on duty was adamant she was not going to budge on the price, blamed me for the irritated customers in line and was so rude I told her to cancel my order and that she had just lost not one but MANY customers. This occured at the beginning of the summer and we have not been back since. I have heard many complaints about this McD and am very surprised that the owner has not addressed the staffing issues, health concerns and lack of customer service. I do know of at least two individuals who did attempt to contact the owner during this same time frame but after one voicemail from the owner, no response with follow up message left again. This is a very sad situation as this McD has the potential to be a SUPER McD, great location AND one of the best Indoor Playscapes around. Time for owner to do spot checks on his facility, all shifts, frequently and without advance notice. .
