liked My Nail Salon upon first approach as the decor deviates from the base standard of most Asian-owned nail salons. Instead, it appears a little more luxurious with their antique-inspired furniture (and at the same, or lower, prices!). I went in for an eyebrow wax, and received an adequate service although I don't think I'll go back because since this occasion I've been experiencing some distress over the shape of my eye region, and I think it's attributed to the asymmetrical job that was done. I realized this recently as I couldn't possibly fathom how my eyes, all of a sudden, looked to vary in position on my face. Bella Sante it is then! Anyway, while I was on premises I decided to indulge myself in their $37 mani/pedi combo. I can't help but love those massage chairs, and get uber-excited about them even though every salon has them now. I sat their reading a way outdated issue of Glamour Magazine they had on site (where I learned that if a lady paints her nails clear, it is supposed to insinuate she owns a private island or some other ridiculousness) while I received the most lovely mani/pedi set which turned out to last a full week! Never before had I received a polish that lasted so long, and because of this I endeavor to return to My Nail Salon for all of my nail services, although not waxing as I don't want people thinking one of my eyes sits lower on my fave than its counterpart on the opposite side, otherwise I'll never be successful.
I usually never give bad reviews, but my experience today was less than sub par. The lady who did my nails did a great job. But the service is horrible. A coworker had given me a gift card she received from one of the owners because she doesn't usually like to get her nails done. So I went in, got a set of gel, and handed it to the lady who wrote out the gift card so she could sign it. I asked if she remembered me from working with her at physical therapy. She then said that the gift card was only for the lady she gave it to, even though I had already had my nails done. She told me to give her the gift card back. She was also rude to a lady who wanted to get her nails done because it was her birthday but she refused her saying she would have to wait a "long time" even though there was only 2 other customers besides me there. After that, all other walk-ins were allowed service....
They are SO much better than Davids Nails!!! There prices are the same as David's Nails but you get better service. Even though she opens at 9am, she gets there early (like 7 or 8) to set up and take anyone early who might be around unlike David's Nails who shows up AN HOUR late to his opening time. The quality was incredible. David's nails CRACKED after 2 weeks, while her gel nails have stayed on for literally 5 weeks without a fill. I'd recommend her to ANYONE! Full Set GEL - $35 Full Set Acrylic - $25 Pedicure - $20 They kept a great conversation as well and if you didn't want to talk, they had the tv on. They may be a small business, but they are a hardworking group of girls.
I happend apon Tullie Dupree's one daybecause of they're wonderfully cute & charming name. I scheduled a pedicure with the owner(not knowing), and let me tell you, she was the most PROFESSIONAL manicurist I have ever met. I had more fun & the best pedicure ever. The flavored pedicures were something special that I had never had before. I have been to other salons for the same service, & have not had this WONDERFUL of an experiance. And this was an experiance that I would hands down refer ALL my friends and family, and have. NO doubt best salon in Modesto to get a pedicure!
I have been enjoying the professional nail & feet services provided by the owner & staff of Tullie Dupree's for 20 years. The salon has a fun & playful decor that is altered regularly for the season or holiday. The hours I've spent there are always comfortable & the ambiance is cheerful. Everyone who works there is happy & friendly, as are the clients. I have referred dozons of my own business clients, as well as family & friends. I would encourage anyone who is interested in a fun & unique salon experience with professional results to try Tullie Dupree's.
I live right aroung the corner from Tina's and of course it's convenient. The girls are very sweet and hardworking. I'm not overly impressed with the pedicure I received but I can't say enough about the gel nails. I have gone 4 weeks now and still no sign of lifting. I have mine done in a French manicure so of course you can't see the out grow. I love them and will continue to go to Tina for my nails, not for the pedicure
I had a really positive experience my first time here. A little busy, but it was def worth to wait. It is clean, professional, and quick. I made an appointment the same day on a Thursday only about two hours before. The one who did my gel manicure was sweet and very detail oriented. She spent a lot of time putting each coat on each nail- I love that kind of patience and effort. My nails look lovely for my holiday!
I went to sassy nails to get my pedicure done, the girl asked me to get deluxe pedicure which is $32. It’s more expensive than other nails shop near by, but when I paid, she said it $34. She charged me $2 more because I paid by credit card. what’s a rip- off. What is the difference between paying by cash and credit card. NEVER COME BACK TO SASSY NAILS.
I was pleasantly suprised. After reading the reviews...I was a little nervous. But David, the owner, greeted me upon entering the business. He answered my questions honestly, where he could have just taken my money and lied to me, like others have done. I came out with a new set of nails that I completely happy with and will refer my friends here.
My mom and I are from Colorado and used the yellow pages to find a good nail salon in Modesto while visiting family. We decided Tina's Nails sounded good enough and the prices were reasonable. The ladies were very friendly and asked us questions about where we're from and seemed very interested. Overall we enjoyed our time with the two ladies :)
