The Brevard Regional Juvenile Detention Center is a 50-plus-bed, secure facility that serves youths detained by various circuit courts. The facility provides supervision services for of youths in a safe, secure and humane environment. It offers provides education, mental health, substance abuse prevention and health care services. The Brevard Regional Juvenile Detention Center provides educational services that are funded by the Department of Education through local school districts. The facility also organizes several structured physical and educational activities. It is governed by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, which manages more than 25 juvenile detention centers in over 25 counties in Florida.
