I was here in 2012 as a private in the V.C.O.R.E program, when I was 18. The program was harsh, not being able to do anything without having to raise your hand and ask permission. Ill admit some parts were good about it, free food(added salt and it tasted decent), occasional walks, and outdoor activities, visits, some of the teachers looked decent and were polite, but most were very rude. The staff eventually caught on to my kindness and began to like me, but they seem to treat everyone bad in the beginning because they assume that the resident is a arrogant person. I've aquired my G.e.d here, and learned to stay out of trouble. This place is worse then going to jail based opon my experience, do not ever go here.

I use to live here as a 16 year old they are horrible they use the kids to manipulate other staff they literally make us their little slaves and forced us to scrub floors they forced us to hurt our selves and at one point 3 staff were fired for a girl cutting herself! The staff do not card they never listen to what the children have to say! And they lie about the whole plot its not to better us it puts us down and keeps us stuck there so they can keep making money please I am begging you do not allow your kids in this facility its terrible I could can go on all day but you have to see the fakeness in their eyes its all there

Horrible place to work and place for teens

They are focused on the money, they could careless about their workers and the children. The children don't get the help they need because they use the money on parties and hotel stays for themselves. It is always the workers and they will burn the workers out, and accuse them of anything they can to get the dirt of the big rigs. The place is a joke and needs to be shut down. Maybe Department of Public Welfare should stop calling and letting them know when they are coming so they don't make all the workers and teens scrub until they come. Reminded me of Annie- Hard knock Life. Don't ever work for them for as much as they talk them selves up. Building Bridges is the worst. Fake Fake Fake! They wonder why girls cut, Because the administration plays the girls until they break. They then play the girls against staff. This whole place is a joke and as for Ken who runs it, he is ignorant and walks around like he is god.
