The law firm of Garton & Vogt, P.C., was established in 1988 by Arthur Garton and Kathy Vogt, and is located in Clinton Township, in the heart of Macomb County, Michigan. Our firm of three attorneys provides legal services to individuals and businesses throughout Southeast Michigan. The firm's founders together have well over thirty years of combined legal experience. Our attorneys represent and advise clients in a variety of legal matters including criminal defense, including DUI/DWI and white collar crimes; family law, including divorce, custody, visitation and child support issues; personal injury, including motor vehicle accidents, products liability, and medical malpractice; and business law. Our attorneys and staff communicate effectively and demonstrate the strictest personal and professional ethics as well as the utmost concern for our clients. If that means going to trial, we will go to trial, but we encourage our clients to participate in alternative dispute resolution if it is a suitable option for them. We encourage our clients to participate in alternative dispute resolution so that they have more control over the outcome of their divorce than they would otherwise have if a judge were to determine matters such as custody and visitation. Personal Injury We represent individuals in cases involving automobile negligence, wrongful death, personal injury, products liability, and medical malpractice. O ur attorneys have an in-depth understanding of medical issues involved in every personal injury case. Many personal injury clients are unfamiliar with the complexity of medical-legal issues, while our attorneys are well versed in these matters. Business Law We provide a wide variety of services to our business clients from assisting in selecting the type of organizational entity under which to operate, preparation of agreements, sale and purchase of businesses, and obtaining financing.
