I have twin sons who are wheelchair bound, so I found it difficult throughout the years to get their grooming needs taken care of. One of the things my twins have always wanted to do was to go to a barber shop with friendly barbers. Last week one of my twins found Mike T's barber shop on the net. I called and spoke with Mike T and he assured me that the twin would be taken care of. Today was their first visit and I was so touched by my twins when they told me while in the shop how happy they were to be there, how comfortable they felt. Mike T and Crispy Mike treated my twins so well, they enjoyed the conversations and all, to top it off their hair cuts were awesome!! After the cuts they were so happy! Thanks Mike T and Cripsy MIke!!!!
Sheila cares about what it is your looking for in a hair cut and you get the results you are looking for. Happy customer.
I REALLY wish I would have read these reviews before going to this salon and letting Anthony touch my hair!!! He did the EXACT same thing to me that I'm now reading here.... did a full color when I wanted highlights stating my hair was too long and that "the best thing to do would be to start over". I could have handled the color (definitely not what I wanted) but then he proceeded with the haircut. When he showed me the back in the mirror it looked extremely choppy and the "medium layers" went in a straight line across the back of my hair, looked terrible. Then this is where I made second biggest mistake. I asked do you think you could blend the layers (really a layer) a little bit? So then he proceeded to cut and cut and cut without saying a word and when he was done the beautiful long hair I HAD was gone and the horrible layer was even worse!! All he said was well "you can still put it in a ponytail"!!!My hai looks ABSOLUTELY AWFUL and I am going to be so embarrassed to go to work (or anywhere else for that matter). Not to mention I have brown hair dye covering the entire frame or my face, which I'm sure will quickly come off (I hope) but how sloppy, uncaring and inexperienced can someone be that supposedly has 18 years of "experience" be?? PLEASE if you like your hair at all or care about how you look when you leave a "salon" DONT let him touch your hair!!!Oh and I almost forgot to add he said the same thing to me about how wonderful and up to date his products are so there was no need to leave the conditioner on for any period of time and then proceeded to yank my hair out with every pull of the comb!
Jenna is amazing with curly hair! My daughter went to Jenna....Best haircut she's ever had. If you have curly hair...you know what I'm talking about :)
Always feel welcome and such a friendly, upbeat atmosphere. Appointments are kept, and service is not rushed.
I love it the service was great. Clean and friendly environment. Fast and nice service. I will really recommend.
I've been going to Julie's since before it was Julies. It's the best place around. Fast and friendly.
I gotta say I was disappointed with Hot Spot. I was able to get an appointment quickly. When I arrived the place was slow and two hairdressers were in conversation, laughing together while I stood there waiting with not so much as a greeting. It was a hot day and the front door was propped open! Stinking hot! I had a cut, color, blow out and flat iron. When leaving I almost choked when learning the price. I didn't want to make a fuss. For the price I should have been offered champagne and Godiva Chocolates! This isn't Rodeo Drive girl's! The owner must be quite full of herself to entertain such prices. I won't be back, oh and my hair was nothing special.
This place is way over priced for what you get. The prices are very steep. When mentioning this to the owner she did not care. Everything is priced separately for one shocker of a total. $$$$$ Not worth it. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
I serviced several barbershops in the Mount Clemens/Clinton Township community and I knew I was home when entering City Cuts. A shop where anyone is welcomed; children, women, any creed or color. The barbers are respectful especially since they all have wives and children. There is no horse playing, unprofessionalism or profanity used in the years I have attended. The barbers assist each other and truly have a respect for one another. Walk-ins on the weekend may have a wait time. It is best to set up appointments. My barber listens to the style I prefer and he never fails. He is always on time, respectful and courteous. As a patron of City Cuts I recommend the shop as the best in Mount Clemens/Clinton Township area. It is a family-oriented business with a excellent set of barbers. G
