Stepping Stones Childcare Preschool

I am fully aware of the responsible party for this review. I have to say it's disappointing to be judged so. Their child was loved and nurtured and that was never mentioned. Yes their child got sick. Sickness is more common in Toddlers as they mouth things and we make every attempt to sanitize thoroughly even more so in Toddler classrooms. I state my sickness policy which is also a TN State Licensing Regulation in the Parent Handbook and constantly hand out newsletters and information on the spread of sickness and the policy about fever reducing medication and symptomatic children. This child was repeatedly brought back to the center still sick. They kept him out one day with the flu. When you bring children back into a school or childcare setting and mask their symptoms with fever reducing medication it keeps the spread of sickness going around. I'm very sorry that this child got sick but they also did not help prevent sickness by returning their child repeatedly to the center. I do not understand the comment about my unprofessionalism or whatever upon exit as I was the one that was judged and condemned for things that were personal. We ware not perfect but strive everyday to provide the best loving environment for your child.

While I could fully explain my experience, I will just suffice to say that we were very disappointed with the level of care given to our child. In the past 6 months I believe our child has been at home sick more than they have been at the center. During this time, no notices of the risk of communicable sickness were given . While it is unreasonable to expect that a child will never catch a "bug", I believe that 12 doctors visits becomes a little excessive. Even our pediatrician voiced his concern that we should consider moving our child ( and we did not disclose our choice of daycare to him).



While the cleanliness of the facility is my main concern, I would also say that professional courtesy in parting ways is lacking as well as certain common business ethical practices.
