I am a real fan of Panera Bread, but not this one. I am a once a week visitor, and freqluent travelor who has visited Panera Breads all over the country....but this newly opened site is not ready for prime time. Called ahead for a $20 take-out order to join the Christmas tree cookies I planned to order for my 1 and 3 year old grandkids after arriving there with our Christmas tree tied to the top of our car. Arrived 20 minutes after they said the order would be ready. Waited in line to pay. Order had not been even started. Returned to the car and started home. Checked the order. Totally wrong order. Returned to the restaurant. Left little ones in car with a relative. Waited in line again for order to be redone. They told me they were tossing the order given to me. So I asked if they would give it to me since it would otherwise be wasted. They would not. Given that they botched my order and caused a long wait, giving me that botched order would have cost them nothing. They could have at least given me an extra cookie. Instead they lost a patron who was trying to transfer my loyalty after they closed the Van Aken restaurant 5 minutes from my home. Hope they learn that customer service is everything.
The restaurant inside Severance Hall is now known as Sammy's. Apparently, since it caters to a crowd that arrives an hour or two before each orchestra performance, (all at once) the all-inclusive buffet format is logical. The buffet is $40 and includes an appetizer, salad, several entree items, as well as coffee and GOOD desserts. This past week was my 2nd time dining there and the service staff is good, the atmosphere is nice and I liked that my aunt (a vegetarian) was even satisfied with the food options. The only downsides are that customer traffic is moving past your table to and from the buffet alot and there was only (1) appetizer offering on my last visit, a creamy seafood soup, which I typically don't eat on my new diet. (it looked good though!)
Like walking back in time to the 1940s or 1950s, it's sort of like a hipster-Mitchell's Ice Cream. Definitely a cool place to satisfy your sweet tooth with your sweetie! MUCH better than the one they installed at Progressive Field, where the line is too long, the prices are inflated, and the selections are minimal. At THIS location, you at least get better ambiance. The ice cream is divine, though they do have old-time candy and some interesting sandwich selections, like their PB&J. I'm always a sucker for their coffee ice cream or salted-caramel ice cream but will have to try their malts the next time we go.
I love this establishment! I shop here often, and it is very clean, well organized, and the nicest, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. You can find all your Middle Eastern needs here, whether its something for your kitchen, fresh fruit and veggies, a huge line of imported foods, fresh cut meats, olives, cheeses, pita bread, sweets, tabbouleh, hummus, baba ghannouj, and wonderful freshly made cooked foods, just to mention a few. They also have gorgeous items for home decor. I highly recommend checking them out, you will not be disappointed. Shukran!
Dont bother, over rated kids behind counter had attention of an ant for my first time that I mentioned to them. Cashier gave out a big sigh, even though I was only customer. They made sandwich fast never asked what I wanted on it,put it on counter and the 4 guys ran to back room,no napkins or bag to put snadwich in. . Cashier took off to car in parking lot.,to make phone call. Took large cup as I ordered small drink and left. With help like that I wont be back, Sorry Subway I wont stray away from you again.
This is a very good Italian restaurant. Prices are a little on the high side but customers receive nice size portions. I had the veal parmesan at $13, and I though it was delicious. This is not your typical Italian restaurant its way better. The restaurant was very clean along with a warming atmosphere. The only downside to this place is that there were not that many items on the menu to choose from. Overall it was very good. If I am ever up in Cleveland again, I will pay Briccos a visit for dinner.
WOW. 2nd date with a special lady went very well at XO! It was a pricey night out, but mission accomplished. We had the calamari and crab cake appetizers. For main course we each ordered a steak (superb) and on the waiter's (Tommy) recommendation, we split a HUGE lobster tail that they had on special. This tail was easily 5 inches wide and 10 inches long. I think this lobster was on steroids. Have been to XO before and after I pay down my credit card balance from this meal, I will be back. LOL
Melt Bar & Grilled is definitely one of my favorite Cleveland restaurants. All of the different sandwiches are incredibly unique while still somehow being a grilled cheese sandwich. While many people have said that Melt has long wait times, this is no longer the case. I went on a Friday night, was able to get a table without waiting and got my food right away. Good things are worth waiting for so anyone who has complained in the past are just a bunch of whiners. Melt is great!
Associates are always pleasant and helpful. The only problem I have ever encounteredIs " oh, that's a seasonal item". The question I have is, who decides what the "seasonal" items are because, ghost cheese and cocktail sauce should not be on that list? I realize shelf space is a concern but, a case or two of each of these items don't take up that much space. Aldi's is a great place to shop and save money without jeopardizing quality and for that I thank them.
Good food. Poor service.. Party of five Saturday night appetizers served along with meal rather than before. Steaks and pork chops served with no steak knives Watery onion soup . Major chip on water glass which had to be replaced. Live in the neighborhood and have eaten here numerous times and service is consistent ly poor. Will be hesitant to take my guests back. Food two stars. Service no stars.
