Cuyahoga County's Department of Development aims to foster strong neighborhoods, support safe, decent and affordable housing, and promote economically sound communities through programs that address issues vital to local business growth and increase employment opportunities within Cuyahoga County in Ohio. It provides financial and technical assistance to businesses and communities through a number of economic development programs. Its programs include arts and culture development, and its redevelopment fund assists with assembling property and addressing environmental issues. Its competitive municipal grant program provides grants to local municipalities to assist numerous projects, including infrastructure, streetscape and senior citizens centers. Its Grow Cuyahoga County Fund is designed to help eligible small business owners within the county obtain loans to grow their businesses and create jobs. The department is located in Cleveland.
