My car’s problem was occasional scraping from the left rear wheel when I stepped on the brakes. I looked around for a new auto repair shop since my previous one tried to bilk me. I found favorable ratings on-line for The Brake Shop. I arrived, they put the car on the rack, removed all wheels for inspection, and contrary to the previous diagnosis, found that only the brake pads on the l-r wheel wouldn't retract due to rust. The pads were munched—and only on that one wheel. Dan started to explain the parts, the symptoms, and so on until I told him I'm familiar with brakes and have changed quite a few. I was pleasantly surprised when he suggested it's something that I could do since I now knew the problem and how to correct it. (I was surprised since I, a former mechanic who had his own business, told my customers they could save money by doing the repairs themselves too--if I thought they were capable of it.) I merely told Dan that I'm out of the business and would rather pay to have it done. To sum up, the pads on the other three wheels were like new, no scoring/cuts in the discs/rotors. No other work was needed to be done except on that one wheel (unlike my original estimate). When all was finished, my bill was way, way less than Conrad’s I just dumped. I drove away (with warranty) knowing that there's good reason The Brake Shop has been in business for almost 30 years. Dan and Diana didn’t treat me as an expendable, hurried commodity. The Brake Shop just earned a new customer because of their goodwill and integrity. Definitely, I give The Brake Shop a five star rating.
Walked in to get estimates and listened as the owner made fun of a latino woman for having an accent. I promptly took my car elsewhere. Can't speak to the level of service, but I don't deal with these kind of people
It seems the only 5 star review is from the manager, this illustrates just how shady they are. They put the wrong flex pipe on my car that caused it to vibrate, I had to argue with them and take another day off for them to fix their mistake, a week later the Cat went which may very well have been caused by too much cutting and welding down stream of it. The thing that is most imitating is that I brought in a diagram of my exhaust to show them their mistake and they flatly refused to admit to it, but fixed their mistake all the while talking me down that they are just doing to make me happy, I would have been happier if they just fixed it right the first time. I have never met anyone who does not make mistakes, but I have met a lot of people that don’t have courage to admit to them, you can find some of them here.
Bought 5 new tires in November. In April I got 3 flats after hitting potholes. Monro only ordered 2 replacement tires and promised to order the third. Later the fourth tire went flat and when I went back to Monro I found they still hadn't ordered the third tire from the first mishap. Now they claim it's "tred wear" and not a road hazard so it's Goodyear's problem not theirs. Really poor customer service. The quality of service has seriously deteriorated since the old crew left. I deal with this problem with them but I wont be back after that!
great & reasonable service
Very affordable prices and very friendly staff!
