Very displeased with the overcharging of accessories from this store. I paid $139.99 for a Magpul stock, get home open the box and it comes with a chart of all of the Magpul items they offer along with the MSRP for the items. This stock is MSRP for $99.95 and can be purchased online from other dealers for $60-$70 dollars shipped. How do they think they can charge over $40 dollars more than the MSRP thats insane. This is just preying on new gun owners that don't know how much certain things should cost. Will likely never purchase from them again.
I stopped here on Sunday, Aug 16 to purchase two handguns and appraised one for possible trade, to my surprise the Lady at the counter did not show any knowledge but a cold rude attitude and no manners at all, not to mention the Manager was even worse, no eye contact and handle my trade in like a piece of garbage besides offering 150.00 for a 460.00 gun. The people attitude at this place is the worst I have ever experience. I've been here a few times and see new employees often, but the condescendent attitude is standard as a hiring point. There's no one knowledgeable an off to help you on your purchase, this is a Walmart kind of store, lack of professionalism and education, period. I'll pay full price anywhere and not purchase here ever. I'll pass the word to make sure Friends and Family wouldn't either.
they won't return my money, they just keep telling me that they have a process, which is that they have to send the gun I purchased back to the shoot straight location that they got it from and then do a bunch of paper work. This is a bunch of junk, when I return a shirt to walmart they don't then tell me I will have to wait a week to get my money back, because they have to send it back to another walmart location, and do a bunch of paper work, NO this is THEIR PROBLEM and should NOT BE MINE! I will never buy anything from this company again, all they are interested in is MONEY,MONEY,MONEY.
To the first poster and his review. It is NOT the responsibility of that store to instruct you on how to shoot and educate you on gun safety. YOU are the one responsible for stepping up and signing for a gun safety course. As far as the manual..it sounds as if you bought a used gun. In fact...I'd probably stake my life on it. The sales guy was right...print one off the web site. If you had a knowledge of computers...then you would probably know how to eliminate some of the unnecessary pages..but considering your FEAR of guns, you probably should read every word of the manual..no matter how pre-school that it seems or how many pages of paper you would use.
In the past month, I've bought two high end 1911's as well as a semi-auto shotgun and I gotta say...Mike..whom is one of the managers, is GREAT!!! Works with you on price and offers quite a bit of info on the product. He has helped me with two big purchases in the past three months as well as a shotgun. Right after I bought the shotgun, I messed up the trigger on a re-installation....MY FAULT..and I was to go to a match at the local club at the end of the week and really really needed it by then!. I took my gun into Shoot Straight in Clearwater explaining my dilemma, expecting a saviour...and expecting a resounding &quot;No!&quot;, and instead, I was told, &quot;No problem!&quot; They took a trigger group out of a different shot gun and switched it out with mine and I was on my way..happy as a clam. There are NO gun stores that would have done what they did for me. It was incredible. 5 stars are not enough of the service I received.
