I am a service professional in the area and often stop in for lunch. I have eaten at this restaurant over 25 times since 2008 and after their recent renovation it is better than ever. food selection is great, services is as expected in a buffet style restaurant. The new sushi bar is fantastic and you just can't complain for the price.
don't let the haters steer you clear of this fine place. The quality of the food at the price they charge is awesome.

VERY RUDE OWNERS , THEY DON;T GREET , OR SMILE TO CUSTOMERS , THEY TALK TO US LIKE THEY WE NEED THEM MORE THAN THEY NEED OUR BUSINESS , THEY SIT YOU DOWN WITH AN ATITUDE
RUSH YOU TO PAY YOU LEAVE AND THE OWNER JUST KEEPS LOOKING AT YOU WITH OUT SAYING A WORD , WE WENT TO PAY AND TOLD HIM WE HAD WATER ONLY , DIDN'T BELIEVE US AND LOOKED AT THE TABLE 3 TIMES , AT ALL THE CUPS ON THE TABLE , WE SHOULD/T GIVE THEM OUR BUSINESS AND SEE HOW WILL DO WITHOUT

I went there tonight, the food was not the best I have had at a buffet. The new layout is nice, but there was a strong smell It was like the place needed ventilation. From the different type of dishes. What I taste was very mediocre at best. The rice was O.K. I went to get some almond cookies as usually you cant go wrong with that. But these were rancid and I reported twice but no attention was given to it. I wont be back.

Based on a prior review, I was concerned about going back to OSB after it reopened. But as we too have gone there for years, we gave it a try. Well, you cannot believe everything you read! The food is better than ever. My husband loves sushi and their choices met his high standards. The service was flawless. The price is still very reasonable. The new front water feature was beautiful and calming. The new food displays are very bright and appealing. All in all, a great experience.

We have been going to OSB for years, and looked forward to the re-opening post remodel. Our first visit was great. The sushi was much better, and the interior was very nice. Today we went for sunday dinner. First thing we were told was they were serving dinner. We were there for an hour and they were not busy. No spicy tuna rolls. Half the sushi bar slots were empty. No more crab is being offered on the hot bar. Yet the price has gone up. The wait staff was lukewarm at best. Not only will we not go back,I will tell everyone to go to chopsticks @ 19 and countryside for the same price, and better food. Shame, because We used to love OSB, but we won't go back.

I've been going to this place since they first opened. They food and service has always been good, but the place itself has been average and very asian buffetish. WELL NOT ANYMORE! ... WHAT A CHANGE! .... I LOVE THE NEW LOOK! .... SAME GREAT FOOD & SERVICE BUT A WHOLE NEW LOOK! .... WOW! ... VERY MIAMI/CALI ..... It very modern and chic. It beats all the other Asian Buffets in Tampa Bay by far. It's the same owner with same great service just more to offer. Fresh sushi, mongolian grill, and more. LOVE IT! ... THE BEST!

As far as oriental buffets go its an oriental buffet. Went there several times as it was a friends favorite. All I can say is the last time we went there all 5 of us got sick. I have a pennant for sea food and as such will get seafood poisoned from time to time. This time was the worst in almost 50 years. 36 hours of full blown basin/bowl action with cramps, hot/cold and the works. Was so sick I probably should have been hospitalized.

New to town, my family has been looking out for places to eat and relying somewhat on our Garmin when we want a specific type of food. This process recently lead us to this particular restaurant.
When we pulled up, we were a little unsure as we were looking for a 'Super Buffet' and this seemed small, but we wandered in anyway. After being seated we went straight to checking out the buffet. It did turn out to be a smaller selection than other places we have been in the past, but the majority of the food was very fresh and tasted great. We also liked that there were items that were somewhat unique, giving us specific reasons to drop in again.
On the down side, they did not seem to have a mongolian bbq/hibachi grill as many others now do where you can choose your own items and have them prepared fresh and the sushi was rather one dimensional. I think that if they were to upgrade their sushi offerings or add in a while you wait style grill (or both) this buffet would be a 5 star winner for me, despite the small size.
My husband & I have been going here for years and not once have we ever had a bad experience. The food is good, great variety, service has been good. Price is good for the chance to eat all you want. We will continue to enjoy eating here. And tell others about it.If you didn't like it,,,then don't go back. Alot of people do !!!!

I have been going to this buffet for years. I starting going when i was little with my mom and now I take my boyfriend and friends with me. It has always been my favorite place for chinese. Much better than ordering in, at least here if something isn't to your liking you can go back and get something else. The sushi is a little bland without ginger and wasabi but still ok as far as sushi goes. The food is ALMOST always fresh and warm. If a tray of something gets empty the staff is usually pretty quick to refill it. I highly recomend the fried dumplings and soy sauce. The only negative I can think of at the moment is the unfriendly staff. I understand they technically are not servers and therefor do not have to be quite as friendly as a server in a high class establishment would. They tend to act extremely put-off when you ask them for anything. I was there for lunch with my mother a week or so ago and we ordered hot tea. Seeing as two of us were sitting there you would think they would bring two cups for it. Did they? No, and when I asked them for a second one it took the girl 20 minutes to bring it around. Add the fact that at check out if you pay with debit they ASK you to leave a tip for your waiter. Ummm. NO. First off I have been in the food service industry for a while now and currently work as a server and bartender. You NEVER EVER ask for a tip. PLUS honestly? They make $7 an hour. They aren't living off tips and technically why should they get one? All they do is bring you your drink and clean off the tables. Which makes them not much more than bussers. Last time I checked bussers didnt get tips. Overall if you don't mind fending for yourself and aren't looking to strike up friendlyness with the server you will love your trip here. I know I do everytime. I walk out with a belly that makes me fell like santa.

wowhitme lies!! His/her post 7/21-08 is apparently done to diss a great buffet. I go there frequently and have never observed any of the nonsense that wowhitme falsely reports. The claim that the positive reviews were posted by the owner is stupid and outrageous. This place is very clean. The food is fresh and tasty.
The Oriental Super Buffet has won many awards and is rated the Best of the City (Clearwater) nearly every year. Such negative reviews and outright lies demean the value of this site.
I went to the Oriental Super Buffet with my friends and the place was packed. The food is fresh and hot. The service is nice and fast. The place is very very clean. The price is amazing. I'll be proud to sent my friends and family there. It's a very satisfaction feeling.
THE RECENT GREAT REVIEW WAS DONE BY THE RESTAURANTS OWNERS AFTER THIS ""TRUE"" REVIEW WAS DONE. SCAMMERS!!!this is the worst restaurant ever, i had many expieirnces there and none of them were any good. but this last sunday i had a couple things happen to me that i found unacceptable.
where do we start........
well the food was horrible and the dishes dirty. the tables were dirty as well as the seats.
and heres the best part.
the waiters were RUDE!!! it was dinner time and the crabs were out. they waiter provides only one crab cracker per table. so my friends and i had to share it. when i asked repeatetly for an extra one the waiters refused to give me one and walked away.
i was not provided with refills when my cup was empty.
when it came time for desert. i needed a clean spoon. well the waiter told me to use the same spoon that i used for my soup which was covered in food. so i took the spoon from a table that was not accupied next to me. the waiter came up to me and PULLED the clean spoon from my hand and THREW another spoon on my table.
i brought this to the young man at the front who claimed to be the manager and he didn not resolve the issue.
DO NOT COME HERE EVER!!!

I had driven past here many times to always see a lot of people eating there. I finally decided to visit myself and check it out. I was rather impressed at the variety of food they had available compared to other local buffets. Some food is better than the other, but I am sure that we don't have the same tastes individually anyway! I mean, you can eat the shrimp non-stop and cover the price of the meal alone! The sushi is rather bland. But you definitely waddle away with a full belly. I will agree that they are not the friendliest establishment when it comes to ""service with a smile"" but since I'm getting my own food, I don't really care as long as my drink gets refilled.
