Overall

I bought a car from Lokey Kia 3 years ago and it broke down just a few month after I bought it BRAND NEW. Now recently a piece came flying off the front of my car and they are unwilling to take ownership of a clearly faulty part (2 of their employees assured me it was a freak occurrence and it would be covered under warranty) I was later told it would not be covered and I would need to pay out of pocket.Their associates are uneducated and uninformed. I encourage everyone in the market to stay AS FAR AWAY FROM LOKEY KIA AS YOU CAN! There are plenty of other dealers that can help you that have integrity and value their customers (two things that Lokey lacks). I received terrible service from them two separate times 3 years apart. It would cost mere dollars for this large dealership to replace this piece and maintain their integrity but they are unwilling. Unbelievably bad experience.

Do not waste your time with this dealership! After having another KIA dealership jerk us around my husband and I drove an hour and a half to Lokey Kia. The sales guy was so slimy and kept telling us that we were all friends while he was marking the car up $4000 and my trade down $3000! The held our keys to our car along with our driver's licenses and insurance cards and when we refused their joke of an offer we actually had to ask for the keys to our car! We were there for 2 hours while they wasted our time then they tried to talk us into leasing and recommended that we just "buy our way out of the lease after a year". When we finally left we got several miles away and realized they never gave us our licenses and insurance cards back!

The only good thing that came out of the ordeal was that on our way back to Lokey we passed Fitzgerald Hyundai and had the best buying experience ever!

This is just a comment about the last review. I'm sorry but this guy wants to pass the buck onto Lokey Kia. This is his fault 100% and not the dealers. Warranty is done at the dealership, not at some Tire shop that has nothing to do with the Warranty of the vehicle. Would you expect to bring your Dell computer to an Apple computer store for repair? ANd if you did and they fix it, would you expect Dell to repay Apple for the work they did? I think not.. So why then would you let a Tires Plus fix your Kia when they are not the manufacture and have NOTHING to do with the WARRANTIES of Kia? Come on now....

On Apr 3, 2012 my 2004 Kia Optima s engine lost power and was unable to even go 3 MPH and climb over a simple overpass. I was able to manage to get the car to the Tires Plus in Clearwater Mall to have it looked at. After being diagnosed with a failed catalytic converter I was told that they could get one from Tampa by late afternoon and have my car ready by 7PM. I asked them to call Lokey Kia and Lokey told the Tires Plus representative that they could not get one until Friday. So I told Tires Plus to repair the car because I needed the car to transport my children. The next day I called Fidelity Warranty Service to see if maybe the repair was covered under my extended warranty and they told me the catalytic converter is covered under the KIA Federal Emissions warranty and that KIA should reimburse me for the repair. The Fidelity Warranty Service gave me the number to KIA customer relations and I called them the next day. The KIA customer relations told me that it is covered under the warranty but because it was not put on by a KIA dealer there was nothing they could do but talk to the nearest dealer and see what they could do. I went to Lokey service department and basically they said too bad, you should have had the car towed to us. I went to talk to one of the managers (Jason Polk) and explained the situation and he asked me if I was happy with the car, did I owe any money on the car then the only thing he tried to do was sell me a new car. If this is the best customer service on the East Coast then I would hate to see the worst. I had been taking my car there since I 2008 when I moved to Clearwater but this company will never see another dime from me. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. I would like to commend Fidelity Warranty Service for informing me of something that KIA should have taken care of. The KIA parts department should have informed the Tires Plus representative that the catalytic converter may be covered under warranty and give the customer that information.
