This place used to be great in it's prime. That was when it was called Norms. They used to have jello wrestling every now and then. But the bands were typically kick-ass. You have trouble getting a dumbfounded staff to dial in a Stanley Cup playoff game featuring the hometown team. Duhh!! But there are plenty or sorry assed Bostonians lurking in the shadows yearning for the good ole days when the Blow Sox and Bruins were good. Just sell the bar to a local owner that supports the local teams, get rid of the sorry assed bands that now pose there, For a great time go the the Wild Indian. It is everything that Norms used to be but the Monkey Bar is not.

My first visit was 4 months ago. Very clean and classy lounge. Though the drink prices are high, the service was excellent and fast. The lounge was busy and a very friendly bartenders. The wild women on the dance floor, provided enjoyment. The band playing was real good. Though no food other than bar snacks, we still had a good time. The smoke level was very low and of course the bathroom needs to be improved. Otherwise a very nice place to have safe fun!!!!!

The Monkey Bar is a great place to go if you want to have a good time with a lot of laughs. Every weekend there is a live band. The barstaff ( JK,Casey,Steve,Brian&Debbie) are all very nice and fun to joke around with. The owner's Alan&Michelle are even more fun! A great local hang out where everything is done ""MONKEY STYLE"" !!!!!!!!!

Horrible bar! Service was terrible and my debit card got charged twice for my drinks. None of the bar staff is from america. No food is served in this dump. The bathroom only accomodates 1 person at a time. The place looks like chucky cheese with all the stuffed animals hanging on the walls, ceilings and doors.
