I have used North Davis Cabinets in all three of my new homes, as well as, when I have remodeled. Big or small job, I've been treated with the same importance. From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted by a friendly receptionist, the salesman and designer I work with is fabulous, listening to my ideas and helping me put it all together, and the installers are professional and qualified. NDC brought my vision to life! I absolutely love my Cabinets and receive numerous compliments on them! In the 18 years I've used them, I've only had a couple of small warranty issues and those were taken care of quickly. North Davis Cabinets produces the highest quality, at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them!

Bad Customer Service - We worked with a designer who designed our cabinets while we were in the showroom. Alex stated he would send the quote via email - It never came. I called his "Direct Line" 4 times over 3 days and finally called the showroom floor. Out of frustration when I called the showroom, it was my last call before I went to another vendor for our cabinets. He gave me a call and finally sent the quote. I had questions regarding the quote, and he could not meet with me for over a week. I wanted specific information regarding completion time frames, what was included in the bid, and can they meet the time frames. Everything I asked about, I got either lame excuses of why they cannot commit to any time frames and no firm answer to any of my questions. The priceless answer was that it is their busy season, and in the Construction Industry no one commits to any time frames. Bad experience from the start, and based on the attitude of the designer and the limited and unproductive interactions with North Davis Cabinet, we decided that if we are going through this aggravation prior to placing the order for our cabinets to take our business elsewhere. Which is what we did. Found out later from people who got their cabinets from North Davis that was the best decision we could have made was to take our business elsewhere.

Worst customer experience I've ever had, bar none. Quality of product subpar. The most recent experience:

Garbage pull out in kitchen broke off at mount points and a cabinet door coming unglued at the seams (had around 10 cabinet doors come unglued over several years).

At first, I came in hoping to get both issues taken care of in a timely manner. The sales rep. said that the door could be glued easy enough and there'd be no cost for that, however they were extremely busy with larger orders so it'd be two weeks before I could get the door back. I asked him why I had so many doors coming unglued and he told me it was probably because my order was being finished up on a Friday so the workers probably did a rush job so they could get out on time. Exactly, what I wanted to hear about their work. After seeing that I wasn't amused, he went on talk about how the spacers in the tongue and grooves may have expanded too much creating stress on the glue.

Then we moved on to talk about the panel for my garbage pull out. The design, in my opinion, was flawed because the screws were placed at the weakest point of the panel, screwed into the tongue and groove area with the screws not screwed into solid wood. Since I was out of warranty they quoted me a price that I though was ridiculous for one piece and went to home without doing the garbage pull out piece.

A month later, I still had not found a good solution so I brought my garbage panel in for them to rebuild. I emphasized that I wanted the design to be changed a bit to guaranty that the mount points would attach to solid wood. The sales rep. didn't want to do anything of the things I suggested and pushed for a designed that could've been added to the old panel without having to rebuild a new one, but he would budge to my wants. I finally just let it go. Paid the $20 more than the original quote because he forgot to add this and that. Was told it would take two weeks to build the one panel.

A month later, I finally called to find out what happened to my panel. The receptionist told me that my panel was already picked up. Since I didn't have my panel I asked who had it, to which I was told that the shop had already closed up and I would have to wait until the next day to find out where my panel was.

The next day, I got a call back and was informed my panel was not picked and that I could come in any time before 4 to pick it up. My wife picked up the panel and wasn't happy with what they did but felt like she had no recourse. However, they didn't put any pilot holes for the handle or mounting points. Which was strange because they were adamant about having the old door as a template. When my wife asked about the pilot holes she was told that we had to do that ourselves and they couldn't help. Being that I don't have the equipment (drill press) to drill straight holes for the handle I have my panel just sitting at home with me trying to figure out how to accomplish this without an ugly or unfortunate out come.

This hasn't been the first time I've had a poor experience with North Davis Cabinet's, but this one was by far the worst. The attitude there is that the customer isn't as important as the orders. Time is based on their own determining and has no concern for the customer's needs or interest.

I have to agree.. terrible customer service. Despite repeated phone calls and emails, I never once received a call back or returned email. I purchased from ND because I have 2 previous homes that they did excellent work on. The work performed was great, the customer service is awful. One employee told me that they preferred to work only with contractors. They price accordingly. $1300 for the cheapest, simplest bathroom cabinet. I passed on the cabinet.

Couldn't be happier with our experience with North Davis Cabinet. Friendly, experienced designer, excellent craftsmanship, and installer was great! Overall, I would highly recommend North Davis!

Customer Service is really a "disservice". The estimator who was very knowledgeable, came out to do the measuring for my granite countertops about a month ago, and haven't heard from him since, despite repeated phone calls. I'm going where my business is valued, it certainly is not going to be North Davis.




ND does have the worst customer service. The salesman Brett was responsive until he received my deposit, then he never answered or retuned any of my calls or e-mails. The installer called me when the countertops were ready for installation. The salesman dropped the ball big time, he did not coordinate the remodel with the others - the plumber and the tiler (one stop shopping was the best feature of this company, and Brett failed to follow though). When I submitted this info back to the company thru their survey, Jesse called and told me I could contact him on any issues, concerns or future work. Well unfortunately I did have a problem with the countertops, I e-mailed Jesse pictures he said his quality person would contact me - he DID NOT call. I called Jesse again, left a message, NO CALL BACK. Avoidance is how this company deals with the customer...I will not be a repeat customer nor will I recommend ND to anyone.



Avoid them at all costs

Buying cabinets from them was a HUGE mistake. Terrible customer service, and "mistakes" lurking around every corner. From the very beginning all the way to the end was a battle with these people. It was like pulling teeth to simply receive what I had paid for. The installer was blatantly disrespectful to me in I'm my own home when simply asked about my concerns for their "mistakes" made while installing my cabinets. I will never use them again. I make sure to mention to every one I know that is inquiring about buying cabinets, what a horrible business this is and exactly how unprofessiona they are. Do not,I repeat DO NOT use this company. Save yourself the time, struggle, and resulting headache.

Avoid this place - terrible customer service. Only want your business if you are willing to spend big money. They had made an appt to come to my home to bid out a kitchen reface. The morning of the appt they called to cancel for reason of "Don't know when we can get it done" Later I found out through a person that works there that they didn't want to do the job because it would not provide enough profit. I can respect that but be upfront about it and either state that you don't do that kind of work or overbid it so you would make the profit you want.
