        The mission of Apple Tree Academies and affiliates is to provide professional, consistent, safe, secure, and high quality childcare to all the children and their families that attend our centers. We have educated children for over 30 years and operated centers in several southeastern states. Currently, we operate in North Carolina and Virginia. Most ATA centers accept children from six (6) weeks to ten (10) years of age, with certain locations serving children up to age twelve (12). Please check with the local location nearest you for specific details.

        Heidi McCaskey, the Director at Lionsgate Child Development Center, and Glenda Combs (Regional Director for Apple Tree Academies) allow children to bite without an action plan that keeps others safe. My son was bit 3 times by the SAME, KNOWN, biter; but multiple children, on multiple occasions, over a lengthy period of time. His own teachers call him "the piranha". I was upset, and thought they weren't doing enough to protect the children from him, but was told "it's not a good fit". We've been there for over a year, and I would challenge them to produce one teacher in that facility that doesn't enjoy my son; I have heard all kinds of negative comments about the other one. But "it's not a good fit" because I'm the squeaky wheel.

        Overall

        This center has been such a blessing for our family. The staff is amazing and management is always there and available and helpful. You can tell they truly care about the children, We love it here!
