Scheduled service on line, tech arrived when he should. He inspected machine replaced some parts and ordered a couple of more. When they arrived they came back out just as promised.

I needed service on my cooktop. The part was ordered and the repair scheduled. The service personnel arrived on time and performed a flawless replacement. The price of the part would have been the same if I had ordered it on-line and I was willing to pay the service charge due to the complexity of the installation. Even though I do most of my own appliance repairs, I concluded their expertise and experience was worth the cost for my repair. The whole experience was very professionally handled.

Many of the low ratings on this site have to do with the cost of the repair visit. These type of comments do not appreciate the costs in retaining qualified technicians that can repair any appliance out there and the overhead costs. Before writing negative comments about labor costs, you should assess your ability to order the correct part and affect the repair yourself. If you can't accept the responsibility for a DIY repair, you must accept the responsibility for paying for a company and its qualified technicians.

We actually did not go through with having the repair done and here is why. The tech came, figured out the problem. He told me it would be almost $300 to fix it. Then he said he could sell me a warranty for $100 tell them it had just been a temperature problem and then I could just wait a few weeks and then call back and say the refrigerator was not working again and it would get fixed for free because of the warranty!! I told him that was cheating the company and I would not do that. So I had him order the part and I paid for the part and the visit $120 and scheduled another visit to install the part. When the part arrived I installed it myself in 10 minutes so I cancelled the appointment. I was going to be charged almost $200 for a 10 minute installation!! What a rip off!! First the tech tries to get me to rip off Sears and then Sears tries to rip me off!! Very unsatisfied customer!!!
