These guys are great! As a female, I often am talked down to when I go into a gun store - not at CG&A. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful. You have a customer for life!
Thanks for teaching my wife how to shoot. She absolutely LOVED IT!
For the first time in my life, I paid $10 for Allen's to bore sight the scope on my rifle. In the past, any store that has ever bore sighted my rifles, has always done it as a courtesy to build rapport and good will with customers. But at Allen's, the man that bored sighted the rifle didn't even bother to level the gun and then level the scope to the gun. He simply cranked on the windage and elevation turrets to match what he was seeing with the laser and handed the gun back to me. This changed the reticle without setting it to zero. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? If I could do gun smithing between my toes, I could have done a better job than that. You can imagine my pleasant surprise when I got home only to find that my crosshairs were at least two bubbles out of plumb and the windage turret cranked to its limit. I won't be back.
I have a TN CCW permit. I needed a holster for my S&W revolver. Not sure of the correct etiquette of entering a gun shop with a revolver in my hand, I went into TN Gun Country holding my revolver by the barrel with the unloaded cylinder open and my fingers through the frame where the cylinder would be if it weren't open. It didn't matter to this one particular employee. He loudly scolded me in front of several others that I am NEVER to enter this store with my gun looking as though it is loaded and posing a threat. I told him that I had an even better idea. I would be easier that I just NEVER enter his store again as there are plenty of other gun shops in Clarksville. Then I walked out. If I could possibly rate this store at LESS than one star, I would.
If I could give them a 0 start it would be appropriate. Me and a army buddy of mine was using the range setting up are AR'S after shooting for 2 minutes I had one of their employees approach me screaming that I was rapid fire my weapon I told him that I was not everybody there was shooting and had people waiting for a spot to shoot. He was in my face screaming at me like a wild man banshee I asked him to back up off me and this is when he told me and my buddy to leave. I know exactly what was going on once I seen the line of people waiting to shoot it was all about the money for them this place should be banned in Clarksville please don't waste your time and money here you will be treated like a dog.
*****GREAT SERVICE***** I read the other reviews and Im convinced the negative ones are other gun shops trying to smear this shops name to promote their own business. I have delt with a few of the employees athis shop, most noteably Tony. He is extremely knowledgeable on firearms. Tony helped me diagnose the causes to some malfunctions I was having with a glock of mine and he helped me fix it.The store has a great selection of firearms, archery equipment, ammunition, and firearms accessories. If you need anything they don't have, they wont hesitate to find you what you are looking for and at a decent price. My wife got her HANDGUN CARRY PERMIT recently thanks to this shop and their staff. I don't know who instructed her, but she came home almost outshooting me.
I have had nothing but great service on the many occasions that brought me to Clarksville Guns & Archery. Every time that I entered the store, shot at the range, or called with a question I was treated well and the staff was very helpful. I have purchased three new firearms from the store, two in stock and one was ordered. I have had multiply sight replacements and sight adjustments made. I cannot comment on their trade in prices, other than if you want top dollar for any used item you must understand that dealers need to turn it around for a profit. It is the same with a used car, boat, etc. Sell it yourself.
The worst customer service ever. They are rude and unhelpful. There is no reason to have the nasty attitude they have. They have a decent selection, but THE WORST customer service I've ever experienced. No, I was not rude to them as so many people would possibly retort. They were very rude to other people that I know too. Next time I'm going to purchase a gun from Tennessee Gun Country. Hopefully they aren't as rude as these people are.
I've been shopping there for years and have gotten great service. Their indoor range is the best around.
The staff members at Grandpa's are awesome. They are always willing to help me out when I am looking for new products to use.
The staff members at Grandpa's Outdoors are excellent. If they don't have an answer for your questions, they do the research and find someone who can help you out.
