My dog, of course, needed to go to the vet on a Saturday afternoon. This was the only vet around I could find that was open other than the emergency vet. When I called their exam fee was reasonable and they were helpful on the phone. I had been gone a couple of hours and come home to my Lab drooling and not able to walk well when I let her out of her crate.
The nice woman vet (I wish I remembered her name) gave a very very thorough exam. She was calm, sat on the floor to examine my dog, and took her time when my dog got nervous for one part of the exam. She did a basic neurological exam and was very clear in explaining what we could do on the most drastic and least drastic ends of the care scale. She thought my dog probably had a seizure from her exam and explained long-term what we would do if she had a seizure again.
When we went to pay they didn't charge us at all, apparently the first exam is complimentary. They also called the next day to check on my dog. I would highly recommend them!

We took our cat to this vet in a panic, because he seemed to have hurt his neck. We weren't sure what had cause it but the only assumption we could possible come to is it was from disciplining him for going potty in the wrong spot. We felt awful, and although we are college students expecting a new baby and have NO extra money we took the cat to this clinic. When we arrived they practically tore the cat from our arms and I accused us of not only being ignorant when it came to the care of our cat but also of abusing our cat. The wanted to charge us almost $400 for all sorts of tests the thought necessary and frowned upon us wanting to just take pain medicine for the cat and wait it out.(needless to say the cat was better by the next morning) When I got to the counter to pay for the medicine the secretary told me a price that was much different than what we had agreed upon, and refused to accommodate us based on what we had been quoted. We decided to cancel our follow-up appoint with this clinic and take the cat somewhere else as we were still upset with this place a week later. We are still in the process of getting our money back for being over charged, as every time we call they always promise to return our call and do not. Yesterday we received a knock on our door from the animal protection agency and apparently now we are under investigation for animal abuse. This place was horrible, I would never take any other animal here, they completely ripped us off, were rude and now we have a hole new set of problems with the animal protection agency.

From the moment I stepped in the door with my pet they were rude, tried to intimidate me into doing something I didn't want to do, and actually HARMED my pet - hurt her eyes and teeth, but I was forced to sign a paper saying I wouldn't sue them, that they could do anything they wanted to do. I will never ever ever set foot in the door of this place again, and would STRONGLY recommend that you stay as far away from them as possible. Surely there are better places to take your pet. They should be put out of business!!!!

Every little thing done to my dog had a price. Seemed all they cared about is selling, selling, selling. Not the kind of compassion for animals I'm looking for. Went in for simple exam and came out spending two hundred dollars. Used to go to them when they where companion pet clinic. They never used to oversell like that back then. Anyone know of a good vet in clackamas co. let me know.

Our twelve year old shar-pei had to be put to sleep earlier this year. They were very thorough and they discussed all of our options prior to the process. We knew that he wouldn't make it and they respected our decision. They were extremely compassionate through the entire process and they treated him with the respect and care that he deserved.
We found VCA to cost the same as other clinics. The vet sent us a sympathy card which we felt was very thoughtful. Maybe that is their procedure, but we really felt like she cared.
We will bring our future pets here for care.
