Overall

The new owner is sooooo much friendlier than the old owner, she is helpful and when they do not have something she will order it in. I have been picking up food here and have been happy with the service, pricing is fair too. Their supplies are often thin, but she is a new owner trying to get her feet on the ground - and she is very knowledgeable about fish. Great selection of reptiles and freshwater fish, and a little of just about everything.

Overall

My sons pet rat died and it was the December 23rd. We decided at 12 he should have a puppy and went crazy looking all over for a good dog for him... we ended up at TK's Pet n Pond and talked with Susanne the owner who had 2 Alapala Blue Blood Bulldogs available for immediate homing... they were registered and pure bred. $799.00 is a lot for a dog so we ran home researched the breed and decided it would be an ok puppy for my son to have.... we ran back and purchased the dog and some small presents and a gift card for the store. 3 weeks go by and no papers are available and the owner Susanne states she is having trouble contacting the breeder and not to worry because she guarantees her animals for 1 year... the puppy got coxidia (sp) and got very sick and Susanne sent us to a local vet and helped pay to make her well for the first 2 visits... after that I was left with some bills. Now 5 weeks has passed and still no word on papers and the vet tells me he believes the dog is a Red nose Pitbull. We approached Susanne who apologized and offered to take the dog back and look for another pup but this was a Christmas present for a 12 year old so that was wrong to do to him so we agreed to getting some monies in return and keep the dog at a reduced price. My thinking was Pits were all over the local paper for $200.00 so that's a fair price but agreed to $299.00. She has given me like $200.00 back and has stopped returning my calls and has her workers say she wasn't there when her car is at the business. Today I stop in to say hi and see if she is doing better and she yells at me for harassing her and throws me out of the shop saying she would'a helped more if I was a regular customer... I have spent well over a thousand dollars in her store this year including the dog and she also warns me if I return she will call the cops. She yelled at me for knocking on her office door as instructed by an employee working there. I am in shock and wouldn't recommend this store.

Great service and knowledge

Pet and Pond has been in business ever since I can remember, but once I added 4 aquariums AND bought a puppy, they have been my best friend. They have a great knowledge of pets and what works, and are willing to share their expertise with you. Prices are fair, selection is ok, but the staff really shine. :-)
