A family can easily spend an entire day getting engrossed in all the hands on exhibits. We have visited the Exporitorium several times over the years and our teen children can still always find something new and exciting. We love the new location on the pier. The only wish I have for this place is that customers have access to hand wipes or sanitizer. The place screams germs as by the nature of the museum, everyone is invited to touch and interact with the exhibits! :)

I visited this museum a while back to check out a terra cotta warriors exhibit. It was an outstanding display to say the least. My fiancé thought he was going to have to go all the way to China to see the terra cotta warriors, so to be able to see some of the authentic statues in San Francisco was pretty incredible! We spent some time touring the rest of the museum and we're impressed by all it had to offer! Overall a great museum to check out!!
Just spent 2.5 hours at an evening event at SF MOMA. Only floors 2 and 5 were open, but there was plenty to see in the Fisher Collection as well as many other collections. Parking was easy just around the corner in a garage on Minna St. You certainly could spend days viewing the sculptures and paintings.
Beautiful museum right in the heart of the Presidio park. Ive taken the kids to see Pinocchio and other Disney movies we have all enjoy it .They loved seeing all the various animation exhibits and costumes. They recently held the Mary Blair exhibition beautiful .
Go early, as this place is turns into a madhouse later in the day. There are so many hands-on exhibits (all science-based) for kids to interact with. Conveniently located near the Ferry building if you want to eat there after.
This place is outstanding. Very engaging and interactive exhibits for all ages. Many different levels and topics all around science. There is no way you can complete your visit in a day. Start your discovery....
Its an engineers/ tinkers dream museum very hands on and enormous. Im so glad they moved to the pier its gave it that much room to expand. You can spend days here and till not get to try all the sets.
I preferred the old location but I got the educators discount so I can't complain. It's always a good time exploring the exhibits and learning new things. Fun for kids!
We took my 9 year here and she really enjoyed it. She loved the clay art room where you can make a movie with your creations.
Awesome exhibits, but very crowded. Lots of parents here seem to think they don't have to parent their kids while here.
