My husband "Christopher" bought me quite a few items from Brighton for Christmas as he always does, we've been shopping with Brighton since the 90's. First they shipped to "Charles", not even paying attention to getting his name correct CHRISTOPHER. Today 27 January 2018 I went to The Mall At Green Hills in Nashville, TN to return a necklace and earrings that I didn't want and had the receipt and the shipping document. I looked around the store first while being followed by a Black employee, the Hispanic employee I believe is the assistant manager (NO NAMES) spoke to me and is who I ended up trying to do the return with. This was all at 4:00pm, so upon giving her the jewelry and receipts she asked for the card and I told her it was on my husbands card which he had and is in the Federal Academy in Georgia for four months. She wanted to give me a store credit and I said no "I have my receipt that you can scan", she said they don't do it like that. The Black woman chimed in saying "don't you want something else"? I asked if she could put it on my card and she said no, I'm getting really frustrated and asked for the manager so she was going to text her and then she walked in and (caucasian woman) she was the rudest of them all telling me the same things plus she says can you get your husband to send you his card wow and then knowing he won’t be back for four months she states “I guess you’ll have to wait four months”, so I grabbed my things and when walking out said you just lost a really good customer! How would it be any different to return it by mail and get a refund, you would not need my card for that? My husband is livid and wants to speak to upper management. This is the WORST Brighton we have ever shopped in, one star.
