Travelling around the world since 10 years, but Towne Taxi is the worst Taxi service i´ve ever had in my life...
Experience 1: Made a online reservation, Taxi was 40 minutes too late.
Experience 2: Did the mistake to made online reservation for 2nd time. Taxi was 50 minutes too late.
In both cases i called the office. The ladies were just rude, told me Taxi is on the way. No excuses from the office, no excuses from the drivers. Never, never again!
Booked online and was given 1/2 hour wait time. 1/2 hour later no cab. Reloaded web page and arrival time was still the same. Called after forty five minute wait and was told there were storms and everyone was running late. Then was told that the computer said I only booked 15 minutes ago (the same time I reloaded the reservation page). Said they would call driver and was put on hold for over ten minutes. I hung up. No cab after two hours, called again and placed on hold. Walked to destination and back. Still no call back. Do not waste you time calling this company.
I waited for 35 minutes for my ride in the dark while it was snowing. When I called, the phone rang and rang, interrupted every 15 seconds by a recorded voice that assured me someone would pick up. While I was waiting and calling, my phone died. My driver didn't have a card swiper, and he didn't have a phone, so he asked me to use my husband's phone once we got to my house to call in to pay my fare. The woman who answered (after about 7 minutes on hold) asked me to give my husband's phone and my credit card(!!) to the driver so he could give her my card number. Uh, no thanks. It took another 10 minutes for me pay for the fare via phone because while I waiting for them to answer, the meter was running. I refused to pay the wait time for them to answer for me to pay because my driver couldn't take a card or use his own phone. Stupid, exhausting, expensive experience that I will not be repeating.
HORRIBLE! Gave me a confirmation I was good to go, never showed up. WHen I called... "we don't have a.... oh wait... there it is" When I asked when they could get to me, they responded with "probably not for a while, I don't even know." Are you serious? Stay away from these guys!
Called for a taxi to fetch me from the grocery store, told me to wait for 30 minute, After 30 minute, i called again and they said i'm far away so it takes time, 1 hour later, called again and they said "one is on its way", when I asked how far away are there, they said "30 minutes away", i told them to cancel it, they hung up on me.
Pretty much the worst taxi service ever. Will make false promises and never follow through on anything they say. Will promise you a ab in 30 minutes but won't show up until 2 to 3 hours later. I literally have to call and order a cab the minute I get dropped off anywhere because it's the only way I'll get picked up on time.
I have had countless bad experiences with towne taxi over the past 5 years. After this past Fri when I called for a cab home they quoted me 10 min, and then never showed up. No call, no nothing.This isn't the first time that's happened, but it was the last straw. Luckily, I found my new go-to cab company in the process, so I will NEVER be using the worst taxi service in Cincinnati EVER again. Some of the cab drivers really aren't bad, but most of them plain suck. I left my smartphone in one of their cabs one night and when I tracked it down and contacted the dispatchers, they were so impolite and not very helpful at all! They did manage to give me the cab's number from that night, and she told me she would look in her cab for it and after that, was totally unable to be reached. She basically STOLE my phone. If I could rate them "0" stars I would. So caveat emptor, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
This is by far the worst taxi service in the Cincinnati area. It will take an hour sometimes for you to get a taxi to your location and no where in town should take an hour to get to especially when it isn't rush hour. On another incident the driver had no idea of how to get anywhere. I was surprised that she could even find where I was. It took that driver thirty minutes to get to my location. Maybe they should invest in GPS for the lady . So many occasions the dispatchers have been rude and I'm pretty sure they screen calls. When it takes thirty plus minutes to get a taxi I would like to know how much longer it's for going to take so I will call and no one picks up on my number however when blocked they can pick up with ease
