We went to the Cheesecake Factory for my Fiance's 35th Birthday, expecting a nice quiet dinner. Did not get what the website promised. Over price on steak that was luke warm. Over price Bone In (does not say that on the menu) Chicken that was bitter, sour and cold. Fake decor but still pretty... However asian and italian and american does not go well together. I was expecting an organized service, extreamly unorganized and unprofessional hosting staff. Our waiter was very nice and polite however very new and didnt know the menu (however that is to be expected being the menu is a novel). The menu is unorganized as well... To top it all off when you look at the place you expect slightly intamit atmosphere... You get hustle bustle and sitting to close to others... great for family night out if you dont mind cold food... However we did get cheesecake to go... and it was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THING EVER!!!!!!!!

This place has it all. The beautiful almost middle eastern fairytale influenced design. Soft lighting, speedy service, great food, everything!!! I absolutely adore this place. I personally love the chicken Little's. it comes with mashed potatoes, and their signature succotash. While the portions are HUGE, whose to gripe? Have them personally box it for you, and eat it tomorrow! This is THE dining experience. Oh and might I recommend the tuxedo cheesecake? it's to die for.

Sure, it's a hyped-up chain with a menu on steroids. But when you push past the carefully fabricated exterior, you'll find a restaurant with good food and even better service. I admit, I'm a dessertaholic, especially chocolate. Of course, the cheesecake is outstanding. I used to go there just for the Godiva Chocolate variety. Then, with my daughter, I decided to get something different: the Chocolate Truffle Tower Cake. I'm here to say, I've been officially converted. Oh, and they do serve food there--lots and lots of food. Everything I've had there has been very good. We usually just get a few appetizers and split them since the portions are so huge. I can personally recommend the Buffalo Blasts, Tex Mex Eggrolls, Crspy Taquitos and the Nachos. Yes, I've actually had them all. On the dinner menu, I generally opt for a salad, but have had the crab cakes and find them exceptional.
There are some drawbacks. The legendary wait is accurate. When you go, expect to put your name down on a list behind a lot of other names. I wish they'd consider call ahead or reservations, but I suppose they don't have to. People continue to come, even with the incredible waits. The restaurant also doesn't offer a kids' menu. While inconvenient, I'd still recommend the place for the children. With some imagination, you can turn an appetizer and a side into a fine kiddie meal.
However, the best hidden secret about the restaurant is its service. I've never been disappointed. Perhaps it's because I've started requesting Clifford. Charming, informative, fun and attentive, he is probably the best server I've ever had at a chain restaurant. Ask for him by name. You won't be disappointed. And remember to try something else besides the cheesecake (if you can). I know, it takes some will power, but your tastebuds will thank you.
