I have been eating at J. Gumbo's for a while now. It's really nice to have a new place to eat at in Anderson Township. I really enjoy their food. The workers are very nice and helpful. I like how you can taste the food before you decide what you want to order. I would definitely recommend J. Gumbo's.

Had lunch with my husband last week. We both ordered Crawfish Etouffee costing $6.99 each. The cold few shreds of Crawfish was taken from a zip lock bag and put on the rice. A ladle of brown gooup "rue" served over the rice. It was sprinkled with red powder. It was cold, tasted horrible, not worth the $$. Was very, very, disappointed with food and quality and will not be returning. We have eaten Cajun food all over the country, and this was horrible. J.Gumbo really needs to read these reviews if they want to improve and attract customers. Serve good food and they will come.
I don't typically post rants online, but I was so appalled at the service I received today at J. Gumbo's, I am making an exception. My friend and I went for lunch today. We were second in line and there were 2 tables left. I grabbed one table while she ordered for us. We got our food in to-go containers because I can never finish my food. about 3 minutes after we started eating, the manager came and asked us to leave. She said that she had a lot people waiting and since we got our food to-go, we needed to leave and allow other customers to sit. I was in total disbelief, as were the people at tables nearby. After a bit of arguing, we agreed to leave but they also refused to refund me on my almost uneaten food. I called the Regional Manager this afternoon and guess what - she condoned the behavior. they were "between a rock and a hard place" because customers were complaining about no tables. My response was that this is fast food and tables are first come, first serve - there isn't a rock and a hard place. I paid, I was there first. they weren't asking people who were done eating to leave either. I will never return to J. Gumbo's and I plan to share this story with as many Cinti locals as I can. I'm also checking into whether they were allowed to eject a paying customer who wasn't doing anything wrong.
