Found out, after the work was quickly done, a "sales person" gave my 79 year old mother who lives in a 900 sq. ft. condominium on a SS budget a price of $1,800 to replace her hot water heater!!!! Completely and totally took advantage of an old, unaware and defenseless woman. I got 6 quotes from other local companies immediately and the highest was $800 - most were in the 700-750 range for an electric water heater. There were NO OTHER issues, a simple removal of a leaky hot water heater and it's replacement. The best part is the original quote was $2,000 but when my mother gasped, he agreed to "go down to a 40 gallon" for only $1,800. Would ANYONE put a 50 gallon in a 900 sq. ft. apartment?? SHAME ON YOU APOLLO PLUMBING p.s. - I will put this review anywhere and everywhere I can.

We tried to make an appointment for Apollo Heating and Cooling after our AC went out / didn't start after the winter season. Lady we talked to told us she had an appointment open that night and someone would be out between 6-9PM. We advised we would call back to confirm. After calling back she advised the spot was opened, but mentioned that it would be between 6-9PM tonight or maybe tomorrow. Our first thought was what kind of company cant narrow down a window? You are in service delivery and we get a cable company style window that cant even guarantee the day nor time? We foolishly accepted. After no show that night we called back in the next morning. This lady informed us that we were never even scheduled for a service technician to come out. She then decided to explain that our AC situation of blowing warm / cool air and not cooling the house after 2 hours of being on was normal. She advised to run it for more than 3 hours and it would work fine. We immediately called other companies. This service is unacceptable for a company in this field. Other reviews stated the service is excellent, which may be the case if you can actually get someone out there.Do not waste your time with this company. Call someone else. They will be able to setup a firm window and actually be able to show up on time.
The service was fine. They came when they said they would. Too bad the pricing was so outrageous. They charged me $445 to install an AC capacitor that retails for between $25 and $50. Took him 15 minutes. I would NEVER recommend Apollo for anything.
If you own an older home, and have the original sewer line, I cannot recommend this company. I have problems with root intrusion in my line, and while the line has seen much better days, it is still serviceable. I recently had a small backup in the line that needed to be augured out, and I couldn't get my usual plumber here in time. Not only did Apollo charge me $350+ to auger the line (For 30 minutes, that's $700 an hour folks) they only used a 3 inch auger head, which didn't clear away all of my roots. They also use this opportunity as a sales call to put you in a high-pressure situation and try to sell you grossly overpriced sewer repair that you probably don't need.I gave them 2 stars only because they came here very quickly, was up front about the pricing, and did restore my flow. But I will definitely take my business elsewhere in the future.
Great customer service and work!
My air-conditioning was serviced today by an Apollo tech. who did a great job as the techs from Apollo do. I give them 5 stars for that. However, the office gets only 1 star for their efforts. They put me on a plumbing contract without my permission. They are really pushing their plumbing constantly. I only caught this because I asked for a summary of my service contract today. They had already deducted money for the plumbing contract. Watch their office staff carefully!!! I am angry.
We had a very unusual situation in our dental practice and Ben did an excellent job sorting out the problem and resolving our issue. Very professional. Thanks for a great job Ben.... we can always count on Apollo Heating to hire excellent technicians.
Ben came out today to do a tune-up on our furnace. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the services that would be available to improve our system. Because we have the warranty, it cost nothing for the visit--but he was here for about an hour and checked everything out thoroughly. I was very pleased with his professsional demeaner.
Ben came out to give our furnace a tune-up. After emphasizing that he wanted to save us money, he gave me tips to keep the pump and furnace working efficiently. He also checked a vent for me. Ben was friendly and provided money saving tips and good customer service.
Ok gonna rant for a second. We were having problems with our furnace not igniting and I couldn't figure out the problem so I called Apollo to come out and look at it. Guy comes out for 80 bucks and tells me my gas valve is shot and it will take 720 dollars to fix it. I say no thanks because that's dumb and my Wife starts looking the part up online. She finds it...for 49.99. So I ask the guy how much labor is and how long it may take he says it may take up to two hours, and 35 dollars every fifteen minutes. They tell you that because telling someone it will be 140 dollars an hour seems like a bit much. Ok so 140 an hour for two hours is 280 the part is 50 bucks sooo where is the other 390 dollars going. All that in mind I decided that I could figure it our on my own. I found someone on a DIY website that had the same problem and just cleaned the valve and assembly and just like that problem solved. So with Q-tips in hand I start cleaning and start the furnace back up, doesn't work so I give a few whacks and BOOM we have ignition. Moral of the story do a little research on your own before you believe anything these guys are telling you. It could end up costing you BIG.
