I provide entertainment for 100 weddings annually, so I eat a lot of wedding cake. A Spoon Fulla Sugar is my hands down favorite. Great. Great. Great.
You can always smell the cinnabons when you walk in the mall. I buy one to go. Unfortunately there's not a location near me, but maybe that's a good thing. They are delicious.
Always like to patronize family owned local businesses. Little Dutch Bakery is a third generation shop full of tasty treats. I especially like the Best of Cincinnati beehive coffee cake. Those sell out quickly (for good reason) so you might want to preorder this. Street parking is at a minimum so park in the lot out back.
Not many of these local bakeries around anymore. This third generation establishment must be doing something right. Open Monday through Saturday with an amazing assortment of breads, pastries, cakes, etc.,that never disappoint. Love the German springle cookies sold at Christmas. They bring back childhood memories.
There can be a wait sometimes to place your order. I guess that shows what quality baked goods they sell. My favorite day to shop here is on Thursday when I check out their Thursday Crazy Special. It always consists of a coffee cake of your choice, a bread product (usually buns or a variety of breads) and a baked good item. I love when they have the yellow loaf cake as part of the week's deal. It could also be a container of the tea cookies they are famous for, cupcakes, or whatever else suits their fancy. For the cost of $9.00 that really is crazy!
They have the best cake, bear claws, donuts, and cookies. Love everything they make.
George's cake is absolutely amazing! It is always fresh, moist, and full of flavor. You can't go wrong ordering from him, not to mention the great customer service. I've ordered from him several times and it's always a great experience.
