Was the worst property manager ever. They seemed legit at first and then take advantage of tenants and not fix things!
My experience with Paula and her team where amazing. They were very nice, professional, and knowledgeable.I would recommend her to others.
I didnt have a positive experience with these people at all. Among other abysmal habits, they fully plan on keeping the entire deposit, no matter what you do.. That was their reputation, and they lived up to it. They even tried to hold my wheelchair (disabled) hostage until they got what they wanted. Police were necessary to retrieve it.
IF YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF FOR YOUR ENTIRE DEPOSIT THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU! IF RUDE PEOPLE ARE WHO YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH YOU HAVE FOUND THE PLACE!
Using DRW has been a nightmare. I am an apartment owner, and contracted DRW Management without reading any reviews about them. Big mistake.DRW did not keep in contact with us regarding people coming to see the apartment or people who applied. Their policy is to only contact the owner if they have someone moving in. As an owner, it is good to know how many people are looking and get feedback from those people. When I found out someone had applied that I knew, I contacted them and asked them for a list of applicants. They said they do not keep names of people to whom they show the apartment. They did not say they did not keep information of people who applied but were not approved, but those names were not available, either.I was advised of the new tenant's move-in date, but unknown to us, they had the tenant move in early. We had scheduled to have both units sprayed for pests while both units were empty. Since they did not tell us they had changed the move-in date, we had some major wrangling to do. When I called the office, Diana (the owner) was incredibly rude (huffing, puffing, sighing, and ultimately hanging up on me) and said it was our fault for not letting her know that we were spraying the apartments. I am not quite sure why I would tell her this, since they already confirmed the 5th -- three times.I called back and talked to Tammy. I must say, she was very nice and helpful. She told me I should have gotten a confirmation letter from DRW to let us know the move-in date of the tenant, which we did not. She apologized for the mix-up. While I was on the phone with Tammy, the tenants showed up, so I had to go. Tammy understood, and said if I needed any help with the situation to call her back and she will help me out.I went out to meet the tenant, and Diana was on the phone with the tenant. Since the tenant saw me coming, he told Diana he would talk to her later. The first words out of his mouth was that DRW messed up. His story was right in line with all of mine. The tenant and I worked things out on our own, but that does not change how DRW handled this entire processes, including the owner hanging up on me...which I see from other reviews is a normal business practice.
This is a horrible property management company. They do not respond to trouble calls and lack ethos. Diana will say that the repairs are in the works and nothing is down. If you question them, they will refuse to answer or be held accountable. It took legal action to break the lease and still have yet to check out mold and left dead rodents for months. I would advise to never do business with DRW, as they only care about the money. They are quick to ignore the law for their own benefit. They do not understand the meaning of customer service and should not be allowed to operate as a property management.
I am a homeowner who had the misfortune of contracting with Kittyhawk. They are rude, pushy, and won't let you talk to them, they roll all over you if you have a concern. They are condescending and tell you what you want and should think. I signed a contract on March 1, and sent the key on March 21. All Terry did for the first month was put a sign up. I paid over $20,000 to fix my house up to make it nice for a rental, and there were no pictures of the house's interior or the square footage. I was very stressed about my relocation to Oakland, so let his patronizing, sexist remarks at our meeting slide, but greatly regret that now. He lowered the rent on my nice 3 bedroom, 1500 square foot home without consulting with me. He lied about getting the home ready to rent, my tenants are still cleaning up after the the mess he left in my house, and I know their cleaning and repairs are going to cost me. I had told him and showed him that I wanted an old unproductive apricot tree removed and the younger one in a better spot to stay. He had the younger tree, a small sapling, removed and left the older tree in the back yard. $720 wasted on this. The rear doors and gates were all left unlocked and wide open, and the beautiful curtains I had at the front picture window were taken away against my wishes, I believed this was vindictive and to leave my house wide open and vulnerable to a break-in. This was after I told him I was breaking the contract and before he got my cashiers check for everything his handymen did and did not do just to get rid of him. Seriously, I think that is how he makes his money, alienating people and not renting their houses until they pay him off to get rid of him. He has two complaints in the BBB against him, and I added a 3rd.
