Excellent customer service and knowledgeable mechanics made my trip to Monro a fantastic experience. Recommended by some of my co-workers, I was unsure of where to go for an oil change/tire rotation and the like, and was beyond impressed by the manager James, his entire staff and the overall atmosphere when dealing with customers. They said it would be an hour and were done in 45 minutes, there days are always crazy - because they're that good - but they put the customers first, are always up front and honest about the work that is being done and do not over charge.

Let me tell you why I won t be going back to Monroe. I used to have my oil changed there every 3,000 miles until recently. I made an appointment for Friday at 11:30am a week in advance because I had somewhere I had to be afterwards. The guy who took my keys said Okay, should be about an hour . I thought to myself, an hour to do an oil change is a bit much considering I scheduled a week in advance, but no big deal. Come 12:15, I can see from Super Shoes across the street that my car is still in the parking lot. It wasn t until 12:30 that they finally got my car up on a lift. 1:00 rolls around and my car is STILL up there. A guy comes out and says Hey, you need new tires. and stands there expecting me to give him the okay. I told him I already knew that, but just needed my oil changed. It wasn t until 2 hours after my scheduled appointment that they finished. He rang me up, full price, and I actually saw him deleting new tires off my bill! l hardly ever complain, but now I am late and not very happy at all. I ask, what happened, was everything okay? he says, yeah, why? I say to him, Well, I scheduled a week in advance so that I could be seen immediately. The guy that took my keys said it d be an hour. He snickers and says Yeah? well, he shouldn t have told you that. He went to lunch and I m still here. I haven t even had my lunch yet. This told me in so many words that his time was more valuable than mine. No apology, no discount, nothing. He gave me a ridiculous quote for new tires, and a day later, Monroe sent me a $20 coupon on their offer to make it look like a discount. Needless to say, I went to Honda for the tires, and will be going there for all my oil changes as well.
