This is the absolute worst Walmart I've ever been to in my life. As the other reviews put it, the staff is rude, the store is dirty and there are DEFINITELY boxes ALWAYS in the aisles when I go. The staff is always gossiping or unprofessionally flirting with each other or me! I don't even go there for myself I go to pick up my mom's medication from the pharmacy & their is a rude *blanking blank* named MARCELINA who is CONSISTENTLY mind bloggingly RUDE & obnoxious & even though I called her supervisor & although he was sympathetic he had excuses for her rudeness. (I'm in customer service and its a pet peeve of mine to deal with unnecessary bad customer service.) Unfortunately, if you go to any Walmart NOT located in the city of Chicago on North Ave you'll have a great experience. This is why we can't have a superstore in the city!!! Smh
The store itself is decent; there were a few employees that went above and beyond, the rest could be more professional. Just because you work in a not so great area, don't mean you shouldn't be professional in your work. I'm talking about a stock person putting out merchandise singing the same discusting rap song over and over again and laud. I feel the walmart owners don't care about the stores in the African American communities. Comparing the stores Northlake and North Ave store is like day and night. For example; I love grapes, the grapes in the north Ave store is not only dirty, they look muddy. I know I have to wash fruit before I eat it. They should at least make them appetizing, appealing to the eye. This is the ONLY store where the fruits is not to par.
We had an amazing brunch at Cindy's during our stay at the Chicago Athletic Association hotel. Be sure to make reservations, we almost didn't get a table. The brunch was fabulous and a must do experience if visiting Chicago. We especially loved the biscuit board platter (enough for two of us to share. The cocktails were inventive and fresh. Highly recommend!
Had a great time here with my wife. Note that unless you are a guest at the hotel you will likely have to wait a long time to be seated. There is definitely a bit of a hipster vibe but the food was excellent (we shared the biscuit platter - I definitely recommend!) The views from the patio are incredible.
I went there and found all the items way over priced. The store is very dirty and outside many street people to bother you for money. Long lines at cashier and poor management not helping customers. No one speaks English and no one helps you with questions...I would never return..
