5/17/17 about 11:15am-I was sent to this clinic by my job for a work related accident. This is the clinic my job used for employees. I only went here instead of my doctor because my boss wanted me to go right away and get checked out. As soon as I walk in I walk to the front desk, there is only 1 person sitting at the desk which is fine because there is no line. She was on the phone for about 5 minutes and did not acknowledge me at all which is sort of ok because she was on the phone. Then she hangs up the phone and still doesn't acknowledge me or say just a minute or anything. She then goes to an unseen area for about 2-3 minutes and by this time another lady had walked up after me. She commenced to walk past me with her papers in her hand and then she asks the lady behind me some questions in Spanish, granted I'm still standing here. So as their exchange ends I say hey, I was standing here before her and you just walked right past me. Her response was "well she has an appointment". I said "ok, well I have been standing here longer than her and you haven't even acknowledged me yet." In my head I'm thinking I could have had an appointment too, what does that have to do with anything...and she didn t know that until she asked her. So then she kind of rolls her eyes and acts like I bothered her, she goes back behind the desk and asks me why I'm here blah blah, and hands me my paper work and takes a photo of my id. However, there was no courtesy In her actions and no apology for her actions.
Well I went there with an eruption of Shingles. My pain was so bad I was beyond tears. My wait was about 20 minutes. The doc was friendly, ordered an antiviral medicine. Alas couldn't give me a strong pain medication because the Policy does not allow them to order controlled drugs. Well my pain is not under control.....pain is the fifth vital sign. If they cannot treat pain...then advise patients in severe pain to go to ER
Made appt online. I got there and could not get in. They didn't have my info. And it was only 12:30 noon and told me I has to leave. No appt. No being seen. It's a lie when you say it is a walk in clinic. IT IS NOT!!! I WAS NEVER SEEN.
The staff was perfect; made me feel at home and comfortable. And the results were amazing; I couldn't be happier.
BEWARE!!! TURN BACK NOW!!! HORRIBLE CLINIC!!! UNPROFESSIONAL!!! NO DIRECT WAY TO SPEAK TO ANYONE AT THIS WOODLAWN CLINIC AS THE MAIN NUMBER 773-753-5500 IS MOSTLY AUTOMATED AND THEY VERY RARELY ANSWER THE TELEPHONE ANYWAYS!!! EVERY TIME I'VE BE THERE , I NOTICED THERE WERE ABOUT 2-3 OFFICE LANDLINE TELEPHONES BEHIND THIS HUGH DESK/COUNTER WHERE AT LEAST 3-4 WOMEN WOULD BE SITTING AND GOSSIPPING AND ONLY ONE OF THEM WOULD BE WORKING!!! MY DOCTOR, DR. DA DA LIED AND TOLD ME TO CALL 773-753-5500 (THE MAIN AND ONLY NUMBER I WAS GIVEN TO THE CLINIC!) AS A MEANS TO CONTACT HER FOR ANY REASON. HOWEVER, WHEN I DID JUST THAT, MIRACULOUSLY WHEN ONE OF THE WOMEN AT THE FRONT DESK/COUNTER (SHE TOLD ME RATHER IRRITATEDLY THAT THAT WAS WHERE I'D CALLED) ANSWERED SHE TOLD ME THAT THIS WAS NOT DR. DA DA'S MESSAGING SERVICE OR PRIVATE OFFICE NUMBER AND THAT THEY (WOODLAWN) DON'T TAKE MESSAGES FOR DR. DA DA NOR GIVE MESSAGES TO HER!!!I'VE REPEATEDLY ASKED THIS DOCTOR FOR HER CONTACT INFORMATION AS IS MY RIGHT AS HER PATIENT AND ALSO SINCE SHE IS ONLY AT THIS CLINIC ON MONDAYS (SOMETHING DR. DA DA DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME BUT THE ONE OF THE GOSSIPPING WOMEN AT THE FRONT DESK INFORMED ME OF THIS) ANYWAYS, DR. DA DA HAS REPEATEDLY IGNORED MY REQUESTS FOR HER CONTACT INFORMATION OR LIED ABOUT HER CONTACT INFORMATION.I HAVE A VERY SERIOUS MEDICAL CONDITION AND EVEN NOW I NEED A PRESCRIPTION REFILL AND I CANNOT GET IN TOUCH WITH THIS DOCTOR OR ANYONE AT THIS CLINIC! NOW I'LL PROBABLY HAVE TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM TO GET MY MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION ISSUED AGAIN!!!! PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR MEDICAL NEEDS. WOODLAWN CLINIC IS THE WORST CLINIC IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ATMOSPHERE!!!!
I had went in to get my tooth checked out due to a filling falling out before 2004. The male dentist there, looked and couldnt find anything, missing the hole wear the filling was. I havent gotten it pulled due to finances, and aversion to surgery and medical practitioners. There is extensive damage done for the length of time The filling has been out .
In reagard to 67 yr old patient of Sevandal family clinic. This has been her primary doctor for quite some time now, she hasn't been able to get checked or receive her medication do to no o e answering the phone. Now she would like to transfer her medical records to a different doctor but that is also not possible without them answering. There business hours are posted on line, once again we drove out to hime and he was closed... smh.... I dont know what to do.... my poor grandmother.
Whatever you do, don't go there ! I've been waiting for a minor medical exam (required by DMV), 5 hours. They just place you in a cabinet and forget about you. Anytime I ask anybody how much longer it will take they couldn't even approximate. Thinking seriously to ask for a full redound and find another clinic.
I went in to get my veins checked and I am glad that I did. During the initial consult, they found that I had deeper issues then just the varicose veins that I went in for. They recommended a personalized treatment plan for me and I could not be happier with the results. Amazing staff and great facility! Thank you so much!
