Sayat Nova may be a little off the beaten path and unfortunately right now a bit hidden by construction but I promise you this, if you take the time to eat there once, you'll never stop going back. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and their staff is nothing less than excellent, very eager to please and very considerate and attentive. The Hummus is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I haven't had any better in the city, and their kabobs are also a delight. We love the number 8 and 9 (sauteed chicken and sauteed lamb) and the chicken/spinach special is another treat (and a half!) Try the Armenian coffee, it is sure to give you a jolt and they have alcohol as well. Take it from a local, this place is tops!!!
Absolutely delicious! As everyone else says, the restaurant is pretty pricey (dinner entrees for $14.95 and up), but the food is amazing and portions are huge. Plus, the dinner comes with a buffet of appetizers where you serve yourself. When I went, that included hummus, falafel, tomate soup, chicken barley soup (my favorite!), tabouleh, and maybe one other item. If you're on a budget, come over there for lunch instead. The buffet is $9.95 per person. Whenever you do go, I would recommend any of their chicken entrees with dill rice. If you go for dinner but can't afford the entrees, try the all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet for $9.95.
the croissants, bagels, and other breakfast items here are very good, but I usually visit here for lunch... excellent sandwiches, good salad bar selection if you're into that scene, but my fave is the soups... they make an excellent tomato soup (florentine, I think they call it?) with shell noodles and basil... fantastic! Also the chicken noodle is yummy. Another fave is the asigo cheese bagel for around a buck... get that with a bowl of soup and YUM!! so much better than a #5 combo whatever meal! and yes, it's a coupla bux more-- but well worth it.
I often dine at Reza's Andersonville location. My favorite is their Reza's Special Boneless Chicken. I get it with their dill rice which is always perfectly prepared. It's fluffy rice with dill and a few lima beans added. If you have room after hving their generous portions, their carrot cake is wonderful.
Forget the food - the great personnel are enough to make you return to this simple restuarant each day. Tasty falafel and fantastic gyros sandwiches! Prices are reasonable and the portions will not leave you hungry. Crowded during prime lunch hours but the lines go fast. Delicious.
Doesn't list an address here, but I am assuming this is for the Lindt store at Water Tower. Very nice place to buy a gift or buy some truffles for yourself for a dessert or light snack. High quality European chocolate. I highly recommend this store for a chocolate lift.
Good ethnic Serbian food. (No, I am not Serbian.) Delicious sopska salata, kind of a Greek style salad with farmers cheese. Huge prosciutto-stuffed schnitzle, a tad dry, but good flavor. Fabulous crepes (palacinke).
I can say that, in addition to great packaging, their sweets taste great! If you don't have much budget for candies or chocolates, I'm sure you can afford their products.
