I'm a licensed beautician, and I always shop at Sam's. Every time I come into the store I'm greeted by their security who follows me around the store (he's the light skinned short guy) if I'm undecided about what hair or brand I want I guess that's when he thinks I'm stealing and tries to find ways to make me feel uncomfortable so I could go. I'm writing this because of what happened to me yesterday. When I went into the store yesterday the security guard asked my 12 year old niece when was we ready to go. I was so disappointed. I get it people steal, but jumping to conclusions is not the way to go. He should never said NOTHING to my niece, if he felt we was stealing he should've called the police or asked us politely to go either way I will never go back into to this store and I'm going to make sure my clients doesn't shop here.
So after waiting for an hour and 30 mins just to get into the store for its Grand Opening just to find out that the store was out of stock on certain items not good for a store that just opened also not to mention when I talk to a supervisor I was advised that there was nothing they could do and sorry. Well just gose to show the customer service provided not even a courtesy discount or a gift card to compensate for the long time waiting in a huge line. Unfortunately I wI'll not be going back to that store. Not like La Grange where they are willing to help in any way to satisfy the customer.. just a heads up...
I've been going here since 2000. The selection is wonderful! You can get to smell one or more before you purchase them. The ower, she is very nice and knowledgeable. My boyfriend wanted to try oils and I told him about one love. He now has his own collection... The prices are great! I will definitely come back again.. With a list! Heather Pierce
The owner sold me an array of oil burners, (wholesale) and did not give me what I ordered. I was out of the country during the time of his delivery and he delivered to my salon/boutique exactly what I specifically did not want. He never returned my money (which I paid in advance), nor would he meet me for an exchange of goods. I called the Ford City Location (over & over) to only reach his wife, which became extremely rude & uncaring of her husband's deceitful dealings, in "our" business deal. The wife "claims" to be a Christian; I was extremely surprised at the foul treatment. She was the kindest woman, before she & her husband got my hundreds of dollars. I'm stuck with these UGLY oil burners & it's years later. I've only sold one. He gave me the ugliest ones that he had. I guess he wanted to dump them on me. Sad face... He promised & promised to get back to me for an exchange when the new oil burners arrived, but that never happened. I called & called but they learned my number(s) and ignored all calls. Do not do business with these people. They're extremely dishonest. I swear on Jesus!!!!!Gina: 312-566-6606
I usually like this Sally's; they've been helpful to me when it came to finding hair care products - especially since I've gone natural. Today I am very disappointed because these ladies seem to be very lazy when it comes to keeping the store stocked. I originally went into the store on Tuesday to get some more hair gel and to seek out sulfate free shampoo & conditioner. My usual gel (called custered) was out of stock, but they said they'd be getting their new shipment later (it was late). Cool. I bought something else for my buy 2 get 1 free and was told I could come back to exchange for what I really wanted. I called the next day (Wednesday), and the lady said they'd be finished stocking by the EOD and to try back the next day. I was a little irritated, but fine. I go in today (Thursday), and they STILL haven't restocked the floor! I mean, the store looks exactly the same as I saw it Tuesday! Granted, it's two women working, but it's not busy in there and one could be stocking while the other covers the register. One of the girls is pregnant: there's your register girl. But no. She's reading a magazine as I'm speaking to her while the other woman is the only one working and helping the few customers checking out. This is absolutely unacceptable. Yes, I could go to another Sally's or somewhere else to get my hair gel, but I wanted to go to this one which is closest to my job. I shouldn't have to seek out another location when this one is near me and has the restock of merchandise, but they're just too lazy to do THEIR JOB. There are no excuses. I am very disappointed and upset. I now plan to either order my purchases online to receive my discounts or just pay extra at Walgreens or Target.
In regards to the salon in the back If I could give them -5 stars the stylist in the back are unprofessional RUDE and lazy went in to get a simple taper on one side of my head &!walked out with a bald fade I showed the stylist a picture of my desired look and she still butchered my I am very angry and will never recommend anyone to this establishment
This is a scam place, horrible business ethics, no professionalism at all. Don't even think about this place. This guy name is Fortune and he will end up your fortune in dark, The biggest lier and fraud person i have ever met in my life, After 6 to 8 weeks commitment even after 18 weeks we got nothing but lies. He used our money for 4 months and we end up break the deal. my salon rent started and we got in loss of bcoz of this lier cheat guy. BEWARE OF HIM.
If I could give them half a star I would. I also called and asked for the price of a product and told that they don't quote prices over the phone. That is some mess!!! From the time I hang up from you and drive to you is the price going to change or do they make up their own prices daily. This is why it is so hard to support black businesses, because they don't know how to act!!!
