Good Breakfast

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a wide variety of food aside from the standard coffee shop menu.

Perfect hashbrowns

Love the breakfast, especially the hashbrowns! Great scrambled eggs, awesome french toast and ham. Portions are great. People are very friendly. This is a great place to eat if your on a budget, plus there is plenty of parking.

Great Food, Great People

The Yellow Rose Cafe... This is a place I have been going to for years. My friends and I are usually there at least once a week. The people there are great. Its a non-alcoholic version of Cheers. Everyone knows everyone, and if your not known... you soon will be. They are very very friendly. The Owners, the waitress', have always been great. It's also a down to earth, home style cooking that is hard to find in the city of Chicago. The owner likes to throw in his own touch to his food, which just makes it that much better. He likes to make a few of his dishes from scratch. All I know is the great staff and great food, keep me coming back for more. The Yellow Rose Cafe is defenatly one of my top places to eat when I'm in the mood for some good cookin'.

THE HIDDEN TREASURE OF THE NORTHWESTSIDE

I am a fixture at this cafe. eveything is homemade and it tastes like it. The breakfasts are the best from the homemade corned beef hash, that will change your life, the made from scratch biscuits and gravy and the french toast with the candied bananas. Lunch is equally outstanding from the homemade soup, the tastes like moms meatloaf, and the ribs on special on fridays. This rustic cafe is a must visit if you want comfort food the way it is supposed to be. (even the carrots are to die for)

Great Inexpensive Food

I have been dining at the Yellow Rose for many years now and the food is excellent! The Yellow Rose has superb specials like out of this world ribs! You'll be lickin' your fingers and wish you had more on your plate! If you have your own special request, eggs made a certain way or with specific ingredients, every effort is made to accomodate you. The friendly neighborly atmosphere is inviting and bekons you to return again and again.

Best Corned Beef Hash!

If you are looking for a charming local favorite, look no further. This local family owned restaurant offers the best corned beef hash I ever tasted and I grew up in the delicatessen business. The affordable prices and friendly service make this spot top notch from start to finish. A private parking lot for their customers makes for a pleasant surprise when dinning in the city. My friends and I have made Yellow Rose our new favorite brunch spot!

Best breakfast around.

I have been dinning at this local favorite for years. It was great to see a listing on citysearch so I can tell others how awsome this spot is. Everything is homemade by the chef and owner. You will not believe how great the prices are. I have paid three times these prices for suppar food many times. That's why I keep going back to Yellow Rose. They have so many tasty items on the menu that I never get tired of the eating the same thing. I have to say that the corned beef hash is a must try! I could eat that everytime and not get tired of it.
