This was my first time staying at a W Hotel. I was more than satisfied with the accommodators (super comfortable bed) and the service was outstanding Example: call for wake-up call, set time then I was asked if I'd like a follow-up - snooze button call. When called in the morning received call from real person who asked if they needed to call again in 15 minutes. Service greatness. I'd give the W 5 stars, but the modern/tiki design is not in line with my own personal taste. That said, great hotel.

We were seated in the last row, next to the kitchen. This ruined an otherwise good place. We went for breakfast, and both dishes were tasty. Were they worth the $15 price tag each? Not really, but the same dishes would cost at least $10 elsewhere...so im ok paying for the W experience. Wait staff was very good. Coffee is brewed on the strong side, reminded me of Starbucks. OJ is $6, but fresh.

My wife and I went to Wave to celebrate her birthday. We are nobody important, but the manager made sure that we got a great table and special attention. After receiving descriptions and recommendations on the small plates from the waiter, it all sounded so good that we couldn't decide what to get and pretty much ordered everything. It was an amazing assortment of food, and all of it was delicious. At the end, the manager ordered a special dessert for us that was way beyond awesome. This was one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had.

I used them to host my daughter's graduation party when I had multiple family members flying into town. They did a great job of attending to all of our needs. The concierge is incredible and they gave all of our guests deals on local dining, shopping and entertainment. I will definitely recommend them, but not for cheap functions.

My first experience at a W hotel was in Chicago. When I went to the bathroom I was surprised to look up and see my sister in law washing her hands through the glass. Right away I was wondering what was next!
The rooms were fresh and felt like a trendy NYC apartment as opposed to a typical hotel room. My brother was paying for the room so I got to stay there for free but after that, I always thought the W hotels would be on the top of my list to stay and I recommend when friends come to town to stay there.
Made a reservation for a room w/a view of the lake by credit card. Was not told that I had to be there at a certain time. When my friends and I finally made it there, we were given a room with the view of A BUILDING!!!
Requested a different room (in a hurry due to plans), stayed on the phone for TWENTY MINUTES arguing with a customer service rep. who said I lost my view of the lake because I checked in late? Since we were in a hurry we left one of our friends to stay in the room (the manager was to call back). We came back to find our friend sitting in the lobby w/our bags. They moved the room. Got to the room, it reaked of cigarrette smoke, the carpet had an anonymous "wet spot" in front of the TV by the window that would stay wet through the night on to the next day. The bathroom door would not slide shut. Anyone sitting in front of the mirror that was by the door could see everything.
However, the bed was comfortable. The food service was great. The ppl. who delivered the food were great. Then... what we came there for, the view, was great. Although on the 8th? floor. I would not recommend Hotel W just because of the cust. serv. rep. on the phone who told me "I lost my view when I decided to check in late." O, let's not forget the smoke and anonymous "wet spot." :(
