ITS A MESS

If you have every read a magazine ,newspaper or listened to the radio or watched television, you have heard or seen the University of Chicago Hospitals advertising telling you that they are at the forefront of medicine. They don't live up to their advertising hype. People are not coming to The Uof C because they feel good. We are looking for help. They might have the finest doctors in the world. There is a good chance you will never find out. The chaos surrounding their clinics will prevent you from getting to see a doctor. Telephone problems. Trying to contact a doctor or anyone on their staff is next to impossible. Their system does not work. There is not enough help to answer a call or return a call. If you are lucky to get an appointment, get to the clinic early. Very early. On the day of my appointment there were three others that had an appointment with the same doctor at the same time. The doctor was overbooked shall we say. After two hours I left along with others. There were not enough chairs for patients use while waiting to bee seen. It is a scene from a third world country. I wish I had my camera to take pictures of nine people asleep while waiting. Expect to take a day off of work , pack a lunch and bring a good book. Frustration at its best. Oh the parking lot. Well there is not enough ink in Chicago to explain the problems The U of C has there. The University of Chicago is at the forefront of something but it isn't medicine

Saved My Life

When other hospitals failed me, this one actually helped me with my rare disorder.

They are kind, dependable, and able to deal with bad heart problems very well.

I thank God for this place, I don't know where I'd be without them.
