Whatever my notebook caught, it was very bad, but I was informed at Tech Shield that it was a simple fix, and was quoted a reasonable rate for the job. Whew.
Then there was a bump in the road. It turned out that the virus was very aggressive and everything needed to be scrapped and re-installed to fix it. When Daniel called to explain this, he offered to back up all my files, install the newer Windows and anti-virus software for me, and -- get this -- stick to the low rate he'd already quoted me, even for all that extra work!
Who does that?!
What a blessing to have first-rate, generous nerds in the neighborhood. It's not like geek squad would have done something like that for me.
If you're looking around for the best local tech support, your hunt is over. This is the one.
I was just looking for an ethernet cord when I stumbled upon Tech Shield and was soon to find out that these guys could help me fix the broken LCD screen on my Apple. They were SO friendly, extremely accommodating and the end result was nothing short of perfect. The turnaround time was quick and I was able to get my screen fixed at 1/3rd the cost of what the Mac store had quoted me! I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone with a computer debacle!
One day I was thinking about getting rid of my laptop. I was fed up with the problems it caused; then I met Tech Shield thanks to one of my friends. They are not just professionals, believe me. The one who repaired my laptop had magic hands. the service fee was also reasonable. And it just took a couple of hours to see my laptop as if it was brand new.. thank you guys!!especially BUROCK!
Great place and amazing service. I'll never go to Best Buy again to have work done on my computer. Daniel gave me great advice and walked me through how to deal with my dying computer. I plan on using them in the future for all of my computer tech needs.

I had a virus on my work computer -- ZOINKS!! So I looked on Yelp, saw all the great reviews for this place, and I called Daniel at Tech Shield.
And he came over right away and fixed my computer's boo boo-- YAY!!!

i had a major issue with my graphics cards in my laptop and Dell was useless. I called Tech Shield since they were local and was pleasantly surprised with their professionalism.
A quick service call later and they were able to quickly diagnose the issue (my cards were fried, apparently a known issue with this model) and a replacement was needed!!. They got the replacements in their quickly and handled the entire situation.
The tech was very knowledgeable and friendly and explained the issue to me in a way that didn't make me feel like an idiot like the other phone based supports.Its really good to know they can provide phone support plus be able to come to your house to fix the issues.I'm skipping Dell in the future and just calling Tech Shield.

Burak and Salvatore did an excellent job on fixing my computer at Broadway location.I received a phone call after an hour and they gave me excellent explanation about the problem and what could cause the problem so i can be aware of everything beforehand it was smooth and simple transaction.My computer was ready after 4 hours to be picked up.They are friendly and definitely know what they are doing.I would recommend Tech Shield to anybody who really need professional help!Thank you guys...
Though I haven't actually used Tech Shield for an official business transaction, my short-lived experience with them is enough to warrant a glowing review. I walked into TS with a broken laptop screen and a broken spirit (as far as computers go).
The young man I talked to took one look at my HP and gave me the honest advice that restoration would be more of a headache than a productive endeavor. I appreciated his candor, and was surprised at what happened next. He proceeded to outline carefully what my best options for a new laptop would be, and even gave me a rundown of the different prices, specifications, personal experiences, and varying reliability of competitive laptops brands.
I was befuddled. I walked in expecting to be upsold, jerked around, and made to look like a fool for my lack of computer knowledge. Instead, I was spoon-fed a wealth of fresh knowledge that has led to a safe and secure laptop purchase, at no cost!
If I do run into another computer related issue in the near future, I'll be traversing the small alley that leads to Tech Shield modest, honest, and well-run operation. Just one tidbit of advice: invest in some type of interior decoration.
Another busted laptop, another great experience at Tech Shield. One of the kiddos was curious to see what would happen if he kicked a cup of coffee. Result: You lose your keyboard. Burak swapped out the keyboard and all is good. The whole deal -- parts and labor -- was about $65. Can't beat it.

Daniel is the tech that was sent to fix my computer and WOW! he did a great job! I was so impressed with the professionalism, courtesy, speed of execution and prices that I will never have my computer fixed anywhere else.
The best part was that he could fix it right in my own home. I know that doesn't always happen with them but how awesome that he came out fixed it and the price was low. No worrying if the price was going to be too high.
Phew so thankful to have found them. Thank you Tech Shield for your hard work.

I dropped my laptop off to Tech Shield on a Wednesday. I described the problem I was having to Daniel. He said, worst case scenario, I just needed a new CPU fan. According to him, it would not be expensive and he would call me the following day with specific information. Thursday came and went with no word from him. At the end of the work day on Friday, I contacted Tech Shield asking if they knew anything. I was told somebody would call me back. That never happened. I gave them another day -- again no phone call. Finally I went in there and Daniel said I did, indeed, need a new CPU Fan. He would order one and contact me. Three more days passed and still not one phone call. NEVER did Tech Shield as much as once ever call me!!! I was livid, and, quite frankly, disgusted. Finally, I took the damn laptop else where. The new repair man opened up the computer, saw the CPU fan needed a little bending, and gave it back to me. Problem fixed in 10 minutes for $20.00!!!!! The repair technicians at Tech Shield are a complete joke. I will never under any circumstance go back there again.
