Spent 2 nights at CQ; rooms were small (to be expected in this location). Front desk staff was not very helpful. Billing procedure was not explained (they will hold $150 of your money for 1 week if you charge debit card). No access to microwave or fridge (like everything else, it can be 'upgaded to' - for a fee). Best part - valet service rocked!

We are forced to stay here when in Chicago for trainings for my employer. This is one of the dirtiest, rundown hotels in the area and the rate is comprable. There are no irons/ironing boards in the rooms, you have to get your own out of a ""community closet"" on your floor (hopefully they're not all taken by the time you get there). The rooms are small, the beds are uncomfortable and the bathroom was really dirty. It makes me cringe everytime I have training in Chicago because I know I'll be forced to stay there.

My husband just spent a weekend in Chicago. The hotel is nothing special, but it is a great location. The rooms are small, but comfortable and clean. We dont normallly spend a lot of time in the room in Chicago, so it was perfect for us. We would rather be out and about enjoying the city.

My employer owns a membership at Club Quarters and we, of course, are encourage to stay there. No one does anymore if they can help it. The hotel has gone downhill the past year. I checked in recently and found that the towels in my bathroom were WET (as in they had NOT BEEN CHANGED), there was mold in the shower and all over the shower curtain, and there was hair in the bed (as in the sheets HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED). When I called the front desk, they were totally indifferent to the situation and sent a housekeeper up more than an hour later to fix things. The rooms are quite small, which is not that big a deal for an overnight stay; it is more of an issue on a multi-night stay. I have lately found them to be not particularly competitive with rates I can get on Hotwire/Priceline for much better quality hotels -- even with our membership discount -- in the same general area of Chicago (a recent trip resulted in $129/night at Club Quarters vs. $99/night at Swissotel on Hotwire). If you can find someplace else to stay, do it.

Rooms a bit small, but can't beat the price or the location. The staff is wonderful. great in helping out and reccomending restaurants and area attractions! I would stay here everytime in chicago...don't expect thrills, but accept the great service! p.s. ask Aaron or Virginia they seem to be in the know...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at CQ. The rooms are a bit small but fine for the 2 of us. The room had a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, silverware and few bowls. The room was comfortable, as far as the location I thought it was good it was right on the main drag your going to do a litttle walking anyway. My only complaint is the parking to self park it is 31.00 per day and valet is 36.00 per day you can come and go as you please with valet you cannot with self park they will validate your parking ticket to receive a 11.00 off we parked for 52 Hrs and it cost us 60.00

There are downsides to the hotel - not a single staff know and can recommend where places are, elevators took a long time to service our floor, requested for extra pillows at 7pm and no pillows delivered, placed on hold for 15mins at the reception - but other than these, it was ok. It´s near entertainment, shopping and sightseeing. Rooms were small but clean. The coffee pot and cups should not be placed in the toilet though... : (

Everytime I go back to Chicago, Club Quarters is where I will be staying. I thought the hotel was efficient and very nicely decorated. Even though they don't have all the fancy frills & thrills, you will find everything that you need. It was a little inconvient to deal with all the construction and 1 working elevator for the many floors, but once the construction is finished, I won't have anything to complain about.

Wonderful staff! Continental breakfast daily & free internet service 24/7. Exercise equiptment delivered to your room free of charge. Nice room but the closet was small. A guest services closet on each floor contains irons, ironing boards, blankets and pillows. Be very careful when using the ironing board. My room contained a fridge, microwave, plates, bowls, silverware, napkins and a coffee maker. I stayed on the 15th floor and had to call the front desk for ice. Service was prompt. You can record your own voice mail message. They have walk in showers. Club Quarters will store your clothing until your next visit. Don't let the (street) construction scare you away. It's the 5th season in Chicago. If you're driving, you'll probably have to park elsewhere and walk back to the hotel. I believe Club Quarters is geared toward the business traveler but don't let that stop you.
