I called in an order for delivery and when I mentioned that I had a coupon for free delivery, the restaurant said I could only use the coupon in person-- because that makes so much sense. It was a coupon for free delivery-- what was I supposed to do, come into the restaurant, show them my coupon and then go home and wait for the delivery? I even talked to a manager, who proved just as stupid as the guy who answered the phone. Ridiculous. Needless to say, I cancelled my order; their stupidity could be contagious.

Disregard the post about the inaccuracy... the reviewer sniffed glue, they have precise accuracy on all orders, more precision than a sniper. But.... it takes them literally 10 times longer than it should for them to put the food together. Delivery takes more than an hour usually, and if you don't phone in and order when you just walk in then prepare to sit and wait for about 40 minutes, it's just a joke how pathetically slow they can be; especially with an army of mexicans on the grill, and a useless fat asian stands and watches. If you local newscasters then this is your place, they have about 100 signed pictures on the wall from all kinds of local news legend. Look out for lester holt.

This place used to be amazing but in the last 8 months it has fallen apart! Every order we have placed has been wrong. We switched to online ordering and the mistakes were even worse! I'm not sure what is going on there but they have lost us as a customer.

I ordered delivery and said I had a coupon for free delivery. When the guy came I asked for $3 change, and he gave me $2 and practically ran. I chased him to the elevator and got my $1, but when I looked at the receipt, I realized that he took my coupon but charged me for delivery. So this restaurant ripped me off twice in one night. The food was fair, but I would avoid it b/c they are not trustworthy. Be careful!!!!

With all the great Chicago-style sandwiches -- Italian beef, subs, Polish sausage, etc. -- it may seem strange to go to a place featuring ""Philadelphia's best"" when in Chicago. That's only until you actually try their Cheese Steak Grinder. Any other so-called cheese-steak sandwich you've ever had will pale by comparison. The whole thing is baked on some type of special bread in some type of special oven with beef imported from Philly. It's fantastic. They even deliver the darn things all over the North Side. Making it more fantastic.

I love this place Man, these Philly Steack Sandwichs are so awesome. First of all the bread is cooked fresh here daily, so every sandwich is super fresh, the meat is super fresh and you get huge portions of toppings and meats with top quality for a good price. These sandwichs are like $6.39 and you can't even eat the whole damn thing, but it's so good you eat it anyway, and get so stuffed. I have lived in Chicago for 24 years and still no other Philly here touches this place. The best bread I have ever tasted, it's so tasty my friends. Words can't really even say, just try it and you will see what I am talking about. The Pizza is pretty good also by the slice for $3.75, but the Philly Steak sandwich is what you wanna spend your coin on.

I'm from philadelphia(Philly), several years ago I joined the Navy, leaving behind all the great things of this wonderful city, Mainly the FOOD!! I was all over the eastern half of this country, and everywhere I went, I tried what was claimed to be a Philly Cheese Steak, usually they were set in there making, you had no choice, they all had provolone and ketchup. When I got to chicago, I tried out Phillys Best. WOW!!!!!!! They Had Cheese Wizz, only place outside of philly area that I found offered Wizz!!! along with a fresh stock of tastey Kakes and Herrs chips. And most of all, it was on an amorosa roll!!!!!! If you like philly steaks, you have to eat here!!!

My friends and I have been going to Philly's for years. When my friends come into town from all over the country, the first thing they want to do is hit Philly's. And it's all for one menu item: The Cheesy Beef sandwich. Make sure you get it on garlic bread, I also like mine with grilled onions and green peppers. Oven baked, crunchy on the outside, sopping with beef juice and garlic on the inside, this is the single best sandwich of any kind I have ever had.
