I was so disappointed for the manicure I recieved at Nailbar on Southport. The receptionit was very rude at the table almost like she didn't even care if there wa business or not. The nail technician was friendly by inexperienced. I received a french manicure that was way over priced for what I got. The technician slopped on the white polish and then took a paint brush to make the arch. Serriously, I could do this in myself. I went to have my nails done becaue I thought they knew what they were doing. Then he proceded to slop on the polish leaving bubbles since he put it on so thick. I will NEVER go back!!

I went here about a month ago for a pedi and a full set of acrylic pink & white nails. The pedi was not bad but the acrylic nails were really horrendous. The nail tech took forever, the acrylic went on gloppy and she filed them in such a horrible way that the nails were literally coming off in 2 days -- and they charged me an arm and a leg to get a full set. I actually called that same afternoon to complain about how bad the nails were - which I NEVER do - and played telephone tag with the manager for about a week. This place looks really cool on the outside but if you can avoid going here - please do. It will save you alot of time and money. I ended up getting my nails done at an Asian salon that fixed the mess these guys did - and charged me a quarter of what they did...

I agree with the previous poster - you can do way better on Southport for less money. The receptionist seems to not care that you're there. Once I went in and the manicurist was really talkative during my pedicure, and I just wanted to relax. Anyway she talked so much that she forgot to give me my hand massage during my manicure! I had my rings off and was like ""Um, I see you've started to polish... is there no massage?"" They never made it right even though they all knew that I didn't get one of the cornerstones of the manicure service. Waxing admittedly is ok, if you're in a pinch. But the prices for nail services are too high for the level of service you get.
I have given this place more than enough chances to redeem itself, I am officially done.l

I took a friend from out of town there and will never take another guest there again! Definitely overpriced and not worth it! The only reason I may go back is to have eyebrow threading because the eyebrow person is the only one that knows what she is doing!The front desk receptionist took our appointment in person the day before our scheduled visit and both us got the wrong service anyway. There are separating walls between each person getting a pedicure which is nice for privacy but not when you are sheduling to have mani/pedi's with friends because you can't talk or see each other. There must be different versions of the same service because my friend and I and another guest next to me ordered the same manicure and we all had it done so diffferently. Even when I requested deep tissue massage for my pedciure and manicure there was minimally massage effort on their part. Worst mani/pedi on southport!

While their services are great, especially their waxing/threading, and the people who actually provide the services are nice, the front desk staff has always been very rude and condescending. I have been there several times and have had this same experience each time. After the last episode, where I was left feeling very embarrassed at the dismissive, snobby way the receptionist treated me, I will never go back. It's a shame because they do have good services, they just need to get some better help.

The staff who actually performed any of the salon skills were very nice, but the customer service and scheduling staff are very rude, argumentative, and their charges are outrageous. I had been a customer of theirs for 3 years and due to the last visit experience I refuse to go there. They overcharged me for the services and then would not listen when I was refuting the price. I am a good loyal customer and I am disappointed to say that though the service which I received from one of their staff was very good, the desk staff was so rude and refused to believe me when I told her that I was being overcharged that I have now stopped going there. I have also had to wait on hold forever when I call and make an appointment, which is not a big thing, but again, horrible customer service.
