Myopic Books

This is a wonderful independent bookstore in the wicker park section of Chicago. A great place to browse the shelves for that new piece of reading material. A lot to offer the offbeat reader who likes art and music and culture. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and prices are very good.

Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but the selection at Myopic is staggeringly huge. I love it, you can lose yourself here for hours. Not for the claustrophobic, as it is pretty cramped and dimly lit in places, but it's loads of fun for bibliophiles. Prices are pretty average for used bookstores IMHO, but walking through here and finding books to buy is a lot more enjoyable than sitting at home and ordering off of a cold, impersonal computer screen.
